Delving into a playful realm of exploration and nostalgia, Treasure Hunt invites viewers to rediscover the wonder and fascination of their youth. here, artist Brooke Cormier presents her recent body of work that traverses through her childhood memories of one of nature's most enigmatic treasures: the mushroom.
Cormier's work reflects her lifelong fascination with the natural world, stemming from endless summers spent exploring the forest floor around her grandparents' cottage. it was here that the search for the most interesting mushrooms ensued, which, later in life, transpired into a love of mushroom photography and foraging.
In this exhibition, mushrooms emerge as symbols of Cormier's childhood, representing the thrill of discovery at the interesection of imagination and exploration.
