A massive brawl with the major powers in this one, don't think I've seen so much fighting around there before. Texas was definitely the showdown I was hoping for, some really good encirclements to bring it home :D

Now, since I have played both this chapter and Timberline, I know why Timber Cause died so easily.
When you play the timberline you get an event that states that the Cause is evacuating into the timberline with Dan left to hold the line. What this means is that, assuming the Cause makes it until may, The Timberline receives all of the Cause’s units. This is what allows The Timberline to expand and properly pose a threat to Washington… and what would allow them to survive the Crimson acolytes.
I think what’s supposed to happen in a Washington play through is that Timberline allies with the Troll Warren or Heaven’s Guard to pose and attack Washington. Unfortunately for Timberline it’s pretty easy to beat the Cause.
Timberline is pretty fun whether you go with the BOS (and chose between the two paths there), NCR, Heaven’s Guard or the mutant path. They are much harder than Washington, though
