I actually crochet Aran sweaters. The oldest I have is in creamy Aran wool which I made for my late husband 50 years ago, he wore it a lot! I have since made many such sweaters for my son and daughter and for my granddaughter, and for her godmother too. As I write this I am making another now! I love beautiful work made by patient people.
Such beautiful intricate woven designs! One would really not want to buy one from the stores. And there is a joy and a deep seated satisfaction in knitting a sweater.
It is bullshite...but as a Norwegian American I hope folks will investigate traditional Norwegian knitting patterns and the original Norwegian wool that is still being manufactured 😊
Acrylic fibres do not keep you warm, nor do acrylic fibres keep you cool in summer. They’re a cheap nasty way of using petroleum byproducts and they’re ruining the environment
