ERP. President Keiko Fujimori announced the creation of a Unified Command that will integrate the operational capabilities of the Armed Forces and the National Police of Peru (PNP) to confront criminal organizations and crime in a coordinated manner.
The announcement was made during the presentation of the Combined Forces for the Fight Against Organized Crime, comprised of 1,350 personnel, at a ceremony held at the Army Headquarters in San Borja, following a session of the National Security and Defense Council (Cosedena).
