I just can't believe that kitchen was not built with help from a more advanced civilization. The corners just look TOO accurate.

I'm not surprised at all that ancient people were really good astronomers. They had completely dark skies on every clear night. The visible planets are spectacular in dark skies, and just watching a few minutes a day, you can see Jupiter and Mars clearly marching across the sky. They knew the movement of the sun, planets, and stars intimately. They had centuries of watching and recording and passing down of info and wondering what they were looking at - surely something to build a ceremonial monument to. Today, hardly anyone seems to know even basic facts about our solar system. The proof is in a local ABC news report on a very strange "UFO" that, looking through a cell phone camera, was shimmering and appeared to be moving. Well, it turned out to be Venus. Sigh.

Sorry, but as an archaeologist, I find it exceedingly difficult to believe that our species was capable of any remarkable thought or action before Kanye and The Kardashians ever came onto the scene.

Arguing that a ramp is as ridiculous as magical stone levitation is exactly how a lawyer would argue to push a jury one way or another.

and the winner for first response to Ancient Apocalypse 2 by an archeologist with the name of Milo goes to: not miniminuteman

The quote you quoted is what's called hitchens razor "What can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence"

Getting checked on reality by Piers Morgan is pathetic. It's like getting called out for poor hygiene by AsmonGold

3:10 only thing I wished I'd have added here. Beware of arguments that rely on some conspiracy to prove them correct. Often this argument for Atlantis relies on the alleged arrogance of archaeologists who simply refuse to look for it (even though they would have a MASSIVE academic and economic incentive to find it).

Madness lies down that route. Don't fall for this conspiratorial thinking, really it's a road to madness.

Wish I'd have said that here but it's not always possible to express myself perfectly when I'm thinking of so many different things.

it's never a fossilized steel girder or a circuit board. it's always "these normal looking rocks are waaaay to special to be carved by skilled craftsman, just trust me."

Geologist here. I spent time on Rapa Nui working with the Chilean Park Service. I fail to understand how Hancock claims that the moai were built by an "advanced civilization" when the quarries from which the moai were hewn still contain unfinished statues and the tools used to make them. Moai are vessicular basalt and the hammer stones are massive, fine-grained basalt. There is no high tech involved. The moai were carved, then moved down slope. They were buried as the island was deforested: sediment cores in the crater lake clearly demonstrate this process. Bathymetric (under-water topographic maps) show that there is no "shelf" extending from the present shoreline: the volcanic island, as with most others in the Pacific, has very steep sides. This information is readily available to the public, including to Graham Hancock, had he bothered to look.

Don’t let these Hancockians bully you away from talking about what you want to talk about

Moving large blocks with ramps can certainly be demonstrated for sure, moving them with mystic chanting, show me, prove it.

I expected a lot of things from this video, but I did not expect it to cross my blood-brain barrier. Now I just have to find an ayahuasca dealer in Atlantis.

What Hancock tried to do by entering into Shamanism, is to slip into a territory where he can't be opposed by archeologists.

I love the part where Hancock basically says he's lying to support his claims.

It all fell into place for me after hearing Hancock has done ayueasqua over 70 times...

The largest Mayan cities had over 100,000 inhabitants. Administrating a population that size quite easily gets you dealing with numbers in the millions: calculating the size of food stores, water supplies, tithes, etc. To assert that the Mayans had no need for large numbers is just silly.

Being mocked by Piers Morgan for being unreasonable is kind of a igNobel prize.

"Chanting blocks into place" In my opinion, if there was chanting, it was like sailors who sing/chant together to co-ordinate their efforts and achieve maximum efficiency, and one can imagine it was the priests doing it since like all ancient cultures, Egyptian culture was deeply religious and building pyramids was for the glory of god, since pharaoh was divine.
