This is from the MTV VMAs. Most bands took 2 or 3 takes for their song. The Warning did this in one take. MTV films live performances the day before the awards ceremony. Then they use those clips during the awards ceremony. Artists are allowed multiple takes and the audience is a mix of fans from all artists. The Warning nailed their two songs in one take and won over the audience.

Her expressions, adorably known as "Dany Face".

Fantastic reaction Silvi, and well done for identifying the time signature on Evolve. Many reactors don't seem to notice it.

They hooked the audience by starting with MORE, then brought down the house with EVOLVE. Arguably the best two-song set ever played in the history of rock.

Let me tell you one reason why you like Pau's drumming so much (you'd figure it out eventually); what you get from her/them that you don't get from nearly anyone else. My nephew has been in the sound/light/video business since he was 14, even working part-time when he was in Electrical Engineering and MBA school. He's in his early 30s now, doing all sorts of cool stuff. We're driving back from seeing The Warning at The Factory in St. Louis, July of 2025 (five hours to home, a LONG drive). About an hour into our drive home, he says out of the blue, "You know, that's probably the best live drum sound I've ever heard."
Paulina is spectacular, and Lalo (their house sound guy) makes sure we all hear her.

You were correct - the Intro to Evolve is in 7/8.

Not many bands would have had the cojones to cancel opening for Guns 'n Roses to give this two song masterclass on how to turn a room full of people where 99% never heard of you into fans. Only band that wasn't nominated for anything, played live without autotune, nailed both songs in one take where three were allowed and left a producer declaring: "Holy sh#! I'm a fan now" through an open mic. Pau's response simply was: "Good that means we did our job."

Time has come....TedTalks from 2016 and 2017....go there....have fun

@Bubba-w5t 1 month ago

You are correct as they don't have bad songs ❤

@Musabre 1 month ago

I've never seen a bad screencapture or live photo of them, like ever. Any angle, and part of a song, they always look fire ❤‍🔥

I'm loving the infectious enthusiasm of your reactions, most especially because of your educated ear for music!
Reactors like you help me appreciate The Warning's artistic genius at an even deeper level.

The after movie for the vmas is a cool video that catches the stage manager telling The Warning holy sh*t I'm a fan now.

The Warning army call Daniela's expressive face "Dani face". They all show expressions though.

@davep5788 1 month ago

As reactor Phil Zero said, the scream in Evolve is proof that Pau is not human. 🤘⚡🤘

This never EVER gets old, watching people react to them at this show. Welcome to the rabbit hole!

@ScottT248 1 month ago

We call Dany's expressions while singing Dany Face in the fan community. She does have some great expressions in almost every song. This was a great reaction to two great songs. Looking forward to more reactions from The Warning.

What a fun reaction! SUBBED! So much for being tired after watching The Warning! LOL! I love that you're diving into them. And of course, the more songs you react to, the more you can add to your playlist! And yes, you will run out of adjectives to describe how incredible they are, but don't be self conscious about it. Everyone does. At some point, most reactors just give up with a "I've already said it all... There aren't enough words to describe how amazing they are." Keep going with The Warning!
