In these times, it is always interesting to understand the reasons behind the outbreak of a revolution. Historian Daniel de Montplaisir directly examines this process in "These Nobles Who Made the Revolution" (Editions du Rocher).
Precursors, agitators, founders… A significant portion of the nobility positioned themselves from the outset at the forefront of revolutionary events. Drawing on often-overlooked sources, the historian demonstrates that this "liberal" nobility, before being crushed, played a full role in several major reforms: from the abolition of feudal rights to the drafting of the Constitution.
Throughout the book, Daniel de Montplaisir discusses the important role of Freemasonry, Enlightenment philosophers, and even ancient political theorists. He also demonstrates the need to put an end to the misconception that the cause of the Revolution boils down to the confrontation between a necessarily privileged nobility and the rest of the people, burdened by poverty and frustration.
Can studying the mechanisms that led to 1789 and the Reign of Terror also help us better understand the current political situation in France? Find out in this interview.

C'est devenu radio loge ici c'est incroyable...
On va plutôt écouter Marion Sigaut.
Bonne journée
Quelques petites rappels historiques :
