Better than Griffith dying would be if his true nature and what he did to get his power are exposed to all of humanity somehow, so that the world he was trying to build around himself falls apart. I also think that Griffith has been using Guts' rage and sadness as an energy source, and since Guts realized his power and true self in the stupa, Griffith can no longer draw from that energy source, will gradually deteriorate mentally and won't be able to maintain his facade.
This is a good video and I know it was made 6 years ago but in the light of recent chapters. Sadly I have doubts that Guts can just leave Griffith alone, with what happened to Casca he is either going to die by the sword or sealed away magically somehow, maybe exposed for the fraud that he is. It would be crazy to see Falconia fall within my lifetime. They are destined rivals that will have to deal with each other whether they like it or not. Or at least in the pursuit of Casca.
Great video and analysis. I feel like so many read Berserk and can't see the painfully obvious direction Miura was taking the story. It stopped being about revenge so long ago.
And what about he Vortex of Souls? Eventually Guts and Casca will die, and when they do, they’ll end up in joining the rest of the Band being tortured eternally in the Abyss.
Miura said he doesn’t want a grim ending, and so long as the Brand is afflicted on them, every ending is a grim ending.
1:04 Remember that Griffith burned the spirit tree to ensure the death of Ganishka would lead to Astral creatures spawning around the world (causing the problem so he can seem like its solution), and that the people in Falconia will probably go to the Abyss for all eternity when they die because they’re following a God Hand member
