The real enemy wasn't the ghosts, or the cabins, but reading comprehension.

Ok, this game is actually a cut above the rest when it comes to "Observation" type games. Super creative and that Jumpscare setting just shows the Dev(s) were having fun making this

59:54 “okay, we’re only gonna do movement!” AN HOUR IN💀

The fact that this game doesn't use any loud noises to indicate a jump scare is exactly what makes it so much scarier. It really lets you soak up the moment and let the actual gameplay scare you rather than just having a loud noise. The scares aren't projected like they are in other jump scare reliant games. They really stick to you.

It took bro an hour to understand 4 lines of instructions 😂

dude this was genuinely scary. whenever someone was missing i KNEW they were gonna show up but it still scared tf out of me. the one where the mom was infront of the painting was a sick use of perspective

This unironically is one of the best versions of this type of game.

Instead of making you run away the moment of something happening it actually engages you pretty well with its horror. I like the aspect of movement being the thing you need to press the button on as it allows the other moments to shine and not be something you just immediately skip past.

This game got me jumping a few times. Very good horror game.

this turned from a horror game to CaseOh trying to figure out what movement was.

the girl at the entrance of the cabin towards the beginning was such a genius scare.
no loud screams or a jumpscare, or an intentionally scary appearance of the girl. the wall next to the door hides it so you can’t notice her before you get close to the door to already predict what’ll happen next too.

He was treating it exactly like an anomaly game. You're not looking for anomalys, you're looking for "movement" or haunted things.

Casoh denying the game rules with his whole chest is sending me into a panic attack

"We're at 6 of 8, this is it..."
Me: *Checks remaining video time*
"Oh yeah, he's gonna die."

games actually unique with the fact that you have to notice movement and not noise or visuals. Basically treating each cabin as it’s own unique anamoly room.

NGL when the guy came running from around the cabin made me jump and gasp so loud that i woke my dog up and he was very concerned. lol

him not understanding the ONE RULE is so frustrating lol

Okay, what I made out of the lore:
The parents (mostly the mom) were abusive and the kids were trying to make it out. The father was there, but seeing as he’s always just sitting at the table he was likely more of a bystander. The daughter tried her best to get help by calling 911, running away and either getting caught (chased by the father) or coming back for her brother out of guilt (based off what mom said in the basement), and then eventually getting sick of it and just taking her brother outside and leaving the furnace open. The first time we actually see her implies she must’ve blocked them in, as later on we see the parents searching for something (maybe a key) as the house is actively burning.
I thought that the scene in the bathroom implied that we were playing as a grown up version of the daughter who eventually made it out of the woods (either with her brother or alone). I don’t know what to make of the demon at the window but maybe the house was haunted prior to the family and the mom was possessed🤷
I thought this game was super cool, definitely one of the scariest anomaly games imo

The reason why even if there's some scary stuff in the cabin yet it's still not considered haunted is because the cabin factory makes "hyper realistic" horror cabins, like haunted houses in theme parks except in this case some are actually haunted.

You can even see it in the company name written inside the elevator that they make realistic horror cabins. So the cabins are supposed to be spooky and different each time.

And even without that context the instructions CLEARLY stated that "movement = haunted", and nothing else.

Out of all the games Case has played this one genuinely freaks me out 😭

"WHAT!? How was I wrong!!??"
It's funny how every player seems to constantly forget the single and only rule of the game.  You have to see something moving to declare it danger, stepping one foot in and then immediately going out doesn't count rofl

I also love the immediate juxtaposition of a "cheery" bright factory where you wouldn't suspect any haunting. Directly into almost a different dimension, but it's still only a few steps back to safety.

Yet in those few steps the game still manages to make sure you are terrified.
