From the countless cat clips we have filmed on Tashirojima, also known as “Cat Island” in Miyagi, Japan, we carefully selected 562 unique scenes to create this long-form relaxation video. Each clip is different, so you can enjoy the entire 12 hours without repeated footage (some shots may look similar in composition, but no identical scenes are reused).

All sounds are the authentic island sounds recorded directly on Tashirojima. No artificial sound effects were added—what you hear is the genuine soundscape captured by microphone on location.

Tashirojima is a small island off the coast of Ishinomaki City, famous for its free-roaming cats. In this video, you’ll see them basking in the sunlight, peacefully napping together, grooming each other, or wandering around at their own pace.
