The Onryō has had a huge number of reworks as a killer over the years, but she is still one of the most terrifying characters in the game because most people still don't actually know how she works. Her power can feel quite complex to play against: using TVs to teleport across the map and apply condemn stacks to the survivors eventually killing them all with her built in mori. Today I am going to show you some absolutely disgusting Onryō strategies and how to make survivors DESPISE you on the character. Enjoy the games!

Survivors get condemned when you teleport to a TV and they are within 8 meters of any TV that's turned on (so not necessarily close to the one you TP, could be any TV anywhere on the map), they can also get condemned if they're holding a tape, and go around and turn off TVs that aren't the ones they should deliver the tape to, you can also know when they're holding a tape because their icon has like a TV static in the center of it

It would actually be really interesting to see a “I made survivors despise the Trapper” video. He’s not considered a strong killer pretty much at all so I’d love to see how you could make people despise him like that

Of the approximate 6 onryos I’ve played against, 3 of them never got a single hook the entire game after genuinely trying to play the character. As someone who has also played onryo and never got a hook, I always let them kill me at the very end to make them feel better. They even thank me afterwards! This is to say, I could not believe the title when I saw it, cuz dawg, I feel bad for the killer player every time I face an onryo

i love it when people find out the hex build. this is one of her strongest builds and as a sadako main i love seeing her get some love. she does need a rework however because she is the definition of new player stomper but a weak killer against good survivor swfs

Idk if many people know this but my buddy taught me it. Haunted grounds and Undying have an interesting interaction where if the survivors cleanse the haunted grounds first it gives 60 seconds of exposed and then respawns the haunted grounds totem. As long as the haunted grounds totem is the one being cleansed first. So you have a 2/3 chance of getting both Haunted grounds procs as long as they don’t actually find the undying totem first. So anyway I usually go that, with speed add ins and perks on Onryo and it makes people very happy and very pleased about this interaction.

As you probably know when they get hit from a condemned stack they get 1 stack and a tape gives them 0.5 every now and then, it gets rid of 3 stacks though, but hooking survivors locks in 3 stacks so when they’re on death hook they are locked in on 6 stacks making only 2 more to mori them

always thought a good idea for an iri addon for her would be to remove her ability to mori people at 7 stacks but instead for every stack they have they get 1% hindered obviously maxing out at 7% with a full stacks
