Your mom is a hero for recognizing, not staying, and telling the truth. Most Jeff wives are still there hidden with Jeff’s children. You’re crazy strong!!!!!

The court should never have allowed Jeffs continued communication with his victim families and community. That was a huge legal failing in this case. The psych ward is undoubtedly the correct assignment type for a holding facility, but his restrictions needed to comport with the crimes of which he was convicted from the beginning.

My friend represented your mother in the CPS case. She’d be so happy to know you all are now safe & happy.

I'm actually shocked by her saying she never got therapy. She seems like someone who has done a lot of work and is doing really well. The fact that she got this far without professional therapy is wild.

It's terrible that the authorities let this group operate for so many years. So many children suffered.

So happy that she has a true Dad now and her mother found true love. This man sounds like such a hero. Working with animals, traveling, and getting out there sounds like a great adventure ahead.

you are so brave for sharing your story. to hear you found gratitude in marrying your sister's husband because he wasn't abusive shook me to the core. the great majority of American women are on your side and we will fight for you. we see you and we love you and we are here for you.

That guy in prison doesn't deserve respect nor the title of "father!"

that made me so happy when she talked about her step dad

I love that she calls Warren 'Father' but her dad is just 'Dad'. You can tell who earned the title. And 2 mins later she explains exactly what I just said. I'm so happy for her and her mother.

Man I’m so glad she has a real father in her life now ❤

the whole FLDS story is atrocious but i really loved how she referred to her mother as "Mom" and to her father as just Father (not even "my father" or smth), and then later on she mentioned her Mom marrying her "Dad" because he "earned it". crazy how just the word choice can paint a picture

Sarah Thompson and her friend Amber are both heroes for speaking out about the FLDS. I can’t imagine how much it must hurt to have relatives still in there.

Omg calling her step father dad made me cry. Your mother is an inspiration. Im so glad you got out of that horrible cult. You didn't deserve to go through all of that, but i truly believe you sharing your story is taking your power back. Your story and success is absolutely amazing. I hope more people get out and follow your footsteps.
