Spanish News Review.
This week, the housing issue has literally thrown the entire country into disarray. Congress rejected two controversial decrees that followed the high-profile eviction of 87-year-old Mari Carmen. We explore what will happen to rents now and why property owners can breathe a sigh of relief for now.

Also in this issue: a new spike in inflation, a reduction in fuel tax, an increase in the Euribor and the implications for mortgages, new regulations for electric scooters and motorcyclists, and a possible reduction in the alcohol limit for driving to 0.2 g/l.

Separately, a crime report. A shootout with Guardia Civil officers near Barcelona, shootings in Malaga and Marbella, and a major international operation against a network that, according to investigators, laundered drug trafficking money through properties in Marbella, Madrid, and Ibiza.

Also included: King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia's visit to Ceuta and Melilla, a new ranking of the world's best cities, Bono and Rosalía, the filming of Woody Allen's new movie in Madrid, heavy rainfall in Catalonia and the Costa del Sol, and testing of the European Mars rover in the Almería desert.
