To be fair to Carlton Leach his book was probably ghost-written, or it would have been 3 pages long and written in crayon.

Regardless of the truth or bullshit that is in books or films, I really like how Terry narrates these pod casts, a really good listen

she went on to predict the football results from the saturday before spooky

Three pointing up to a small plane in the sky shouting You Bastard Mick  🤣

I definitely think it was something to do with the police , not only did you have a grieving father , but you also had so many people that had had enough of them . They were spreading fear around Essex and innocent people got hurt for kicks !  there was also a drug war going on where the dealers  were robbing each other and taking anyone out that they thought was a threat !  in my experience when we got done over ( me and my oldest 2’s dad ) it affected me mentally and emotionally but it would never affect the ones that were committing these crimes , my kids even now , even though they are now 35 and 32 it’s something they have had to live with , all the violence and the trauma they saw because of him !  Imagine how many others there are out there that have had this happen to them by these 3 , and how many people have died from bad pills ( I lost a couple of friends with a bad pill ) so there was at that time a lot of anger and disbelief over these deaths , Mid 90’s was a crazy time , Southend was a different place in them days too . Tots was the club that always had someone selling you a bit of Billy or a Pill if you didn’t have your own , joints were smoked and it was like a meat market . Clacton was a watered down version of Southend but still had some bad stuff happen there too !  Essex in  the 90’s was manic don’t matter what club you ended up in .. there was always a fight breaking out and someone getting bottled or smashed up !  Colchester my home town was pretty crazy in the 90’s too , there was loads of Pubs and Clubs to go too !  There was also loads of dealers trying to out do each other and rob one another 😮 dog eat dog in them days !!

Top stuff as always Terry 👍
