There are so many Japanese Classic Origami Crane tutorials in YouTube. Some are truly traditional crane tutorial, and others are the ones someone just made up.

So, I just wanted to clarify and show you how to fold a true traditional Japanese origami crane.

I forgot to include "Material You Need", but only thing you need is a Square origami or other foldable square-shaped paper.

In Japan, everyone knows how to fold this origami crane.
I hope you will try folding this too!

Happy Origami Folding!!

Finally a paper crane that is done properly and not in the American style. I did not think I was going to have to go through so many videos. Thank you 🫡

I never comment under tutorials becaue they barely ever work. This is the best tutorial I could ever follow. Thanks.

I made my first origami crane today 17th July 2024. I was moved and inspired by the story of Sadako Sasaki after reading someone stole her statue from the park in Seattle 😢. I did not know of her until today, so I researched her story. I think I’ll be making cranes will from now on to honour her.

I could not follow other tutorials and became very confused until I found yours. I was successful in making one beautiful crane. Yours was the easiest one to follow. Thank you for sharing.

I have watched 18 videos today only to make a Japanese Origami Crane, but none worked. But when I tried your video’s method it worked and I made my first origami Crane on today, 24th September, 2026. Thanks!!

Thank you I was finally able to learn how to make the crane properly from your video, now only to practice it until I memorize the steps and don't have to watch the video tutorial every time I want to make one 😁

Thank you so much for your step-by-step, clear instructions. I have wanted to make an origami crane for some time now, but I kept getting confused and losing a step somewhere in the instructions. I finally, thanks to you, completed my first Japanese origami crane.

Several years ago, I learned the crane fold steps. Then many people in my church joined me in folding hundreds of "peace cranes" and suspended them from the beams high up in the sanctuary of the church. Sadly, that church and the cranes burned up in the California wildfire January 2025. Now all these months later, I wanted fold another crane. I tried 2 other videos and failed; I followed you on your video and it came out PERFECTLY!!! Thank you for making it so clear and easy.
