The deer hair emerger (DHE) in my opinion is the best emerger pattern ever designed, this fly has caught me so many trout and grayling over the years. It’s a must fly to have in your box this coming season.

A truly incredible fly. Used it with success in a kinds of hatches, as well as prospecting. Phenomenally effective. The deer hair sedge is good too. Another Bob Wyatt pattern.

Great video. So clear of the process with all materials. So refreshing to see soneone else not use a whip-finish tool. Looking forward to using this fly among my emergers

I love your bushy tie with the DEER HAIR, with the squirrel. I can't wait to tie up some. Thank you,

First fished Bob Wyatt's DHE 25 years ago on a local large water. It was deadly and was the first time I experienced trout furrowing the surface before slamming into it.

Excellent. I just started to try this kind of pattern today. It's all anyone would need for a rugged emerger. Thanks. :-)

Nice to see someone doing a whip without a tool, I've got the tool but never used it, going to try this fly it looks like a trout catcher.
