Trish Stratus and Lita, two icons of women’s wrestling, return to Ring the Belle to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their groundbreaking first-ever women’s main event on WWE RAW. Together, we dive deep into the backstory of how this history-making match came together, their mindset heading into the ring, and the locker room’s reaction to the monumental moment.

From the scorpion dive to the emotional moonsault, we relive some of the most unforgettable moments from the night, including the infamous “kiss of death” backstage and their now-iconic gear choices.

Beyond the match, we explore their friendship and the secret to their trailblazing success in women’s wrestling. We also discuss the long-rumored WrestleMania one-on-one match that never happened and whether there’s unfinished business between the two legends—especially in light of Lita’s awkward loss of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

A massive thank-you to Trish and Lita for sharing this incredible milestone with Ring the Belle. Your legacy not only changed the wrestling industry forever but also inspired me personally in ways I’ll cherish for a lifetime. Here's to the magic you created 20 years ago and the memories that continue to inspire!

:_omg: I can’t even express how much it means to me that my lifelong idols, Trish and Lita, invited Ring the Belle to be part of their RAW main event 20th-anniversary celebration last week.

I remember watching this match back in Korea, learning English through pro wrestling. Twenty years later, I’m a journalist in America! Thank you for inspiring me to go to the Xtreme and reach the Stratusphere.

They've both aged so well. Absolutely gorgeous.

Screw being humble, i'm glad that Lita and Trish know how iconic they are! They literally raised and inspired an entire generation(myself included), and now we get to give them their flowers; love this for them! Thank you Trish and Lita!

Lita never got her revenge on Trish for attacking her and made her lose her tag team championship Lita was just immediately written out of the storyline.

I would love for WWE to treat Mickie James right as well. She deserves to be highly revered like these 2 legends.

I must say DS is a blessed soul, you can see how Trish and Lita respect him and feel confortable talking to him, I dont even think her understands how he basically created a safe for womens wrestlers fans and a plataform that not only give the flowers to women from the past (divas, legends, superstars) and connect qith fans but also showcase a very in depth view of wrestling business as a whole. Its incredible, great work DS.

Lita looks SO GOOD. Trish does too of course, but we all spent like half a year talking about that during the Becky feud already lol. But omg LITA!!!! Mother is mothering!!

I will never ever ever get over these two. I just love them both so much. Trish specifically changed my life as a young kid and teen.

I will never get tired of Lita and Trish, regardless of how many interviews, or TV appearances/returns they had. Still my all time favorite superstars. I just hope they will have one last run, and become tag champions together at some point in the near future.

I remember being a kid and not understanding or even knowing what misogyny was or why the women in wrestling were often being made into a joke. I thought everyone loved and appreciated the women in wrestling as much as I did. I didn’t understand why they got short handed so much. The very short matches, the silly pillow fights, lingerie competitions, I remember being excited to watch a women’s match all week/weekend til Monday and/or Friday only to watch the show and see no women’s match or to only get a backstage segment. I used to be grateful for those 2-3 minute women’s matches every week. And now, they get 2-3 women’s matches, they get multiple segments, they get to main event, they get multiple titles and they get to do hardcore matches. And there’s still so much improvement ahead. But I’m so grateful for every single woman in wrestling, past, present and future. They’ve been such a big part of my life just by entertaining me every week.

DS worked overtime for this wow. This just happened, thank you DS

This is the reason this is the most important women’s match this century. It really changed the way people perceive women’s wrestling.

I remember me and my twin watching it on DVD as kids more than a thousand times. We knew the commentary by heart 😂 and it always got me hyped.

WWE without these two would have never become the WWE that we know today. Two of the best, not just women, but people to ever step foot in the industry.
