Dr. Rick Wadholm Jr. has been part of "The Passion Translation's" theological review team. But he is saying that the "rigorous review" process is not what it seems. Today, he is speaking out.

I had Rick as an undergraduate professor, he was my favorite and greatly impacted my faith. I am thankful he's speaking out against it

Interesting that it is “Broadstreet” Publishing… “the road is wide that leads to destruction”! 🤭😏🤪

He is a true scholar, quoting Larry the Cucumber 😂 love it!

So the publisher wanted to hire these guys to review it JUST so they could say TPT has been reviewed by scholars, but they never really wanted to listen any of them.

The humility of Dr Wadholm to come out and clarify his involvement and declare he does not endorse the Passion Translation is encouraging.

The two of you gentlemen are like pit bulls on this, and I am so grateful! While I have been leading people to Mike Winger's Passion Project for years, these new videos, with this new information, has been so incredibly helpful. Thank you for not letting this go.

He needs to request that his name be removed from the publisher's site or that they note that he is NOT endorsing it.

I’m 71 years old and recently have noticed Seniors who are NOT THINKING straight. It seems that many seniors have been caught up in GULLIBILITY. They’re listening to everyone and every teaching but STOPPED reading the WORD. I see this over and over again. This GULLIBILITY IS RAMPANT and their stubbornness. I’m so happy for these young men exposing false teachers.

Thank you once again for working hard to keep the truth at unadulterated.

In these days we live in it’s a real blessing to see people stand for the truth.

Simmons should be honest and just call it "The Brian Simmons Version" - which we could all abbreviate as appropriate...

Love these guys. Keep up the great work. So nice to see young men fighting the fight.

i had to take extra blood pressure meds to get through this video.... lolol The Passion Translation seems incredibly gnostic in it's work.

Thank you for continuing this important work. Any leader who refuses to take these truths seriously now is choosing blindness. As Dallas Willard warned, when someone resists truth, their spiritual vision begins to collapse — they can no longer discern reality, and we should stop treating their words as trustworthy.
Your courage in exposing this darkness protects the church. Thank you for staying faithful to the light. Blessings from a Norwegian granny!

We’re pretty far into having a canonized text so any time someone- anyone- tells you they have “secret knowledge” buyer beware.

I've been watching on repeat your expose on the passion translation since yesterday, I'm glad you guys posted this video today!

From The Passion 'Translation' web-site FAQs: 'Finally, the translation was theologically reviewed by professionals such as Rick Wadholm Jr. (PhD), Gary S. Greig (PhD), Jacqueline Grey (BTh, PhD), Jeremy Bouma (MTh), David Housholder (Fulbright Scholar in New Testament), Stephen D. Renn (BA[Hons]; DipEd; MDiv; MA [History]; EdM), Justin Evans (MTh; MA), and others. The resulting translation...'. It's dishonest to say that the final product 'results' from this review process if Brian Simmons takes little account of what these reviewers tell him.

He is SO wise! His comments about chapter headings and commentary notes borrowing the authority of the words of Jesus to affirm personal interpretation and opinion, really helpful remark.
