That artwork at 1:13:49 by Lady Elleth really struck a cord with me. Maglor, the kindest and beloved minstrel probably never would of sworn the Oath if he wasn't Faeanor's son, but given the crime against his Grandfather, house and people he would of had little choice. This artwork of him mourning on the shores of Middle-Earth, his brother's spirits around him, just makes me sad. Bravo Darth, probably your best video yet, you've quickly become one of my favorite channels, thank you.

I have to wonder what would have happened if Thingol had sent a message to the Sons of Feanor saying "hey guys, it turns out he pulled it off, you can come and get your gem, this thing is more trouble than it's worth."

Honestly Maedros should be counted as the Third High King of the Noldor, with Finwë being the first and Fëanor the second.
He wasn’t in charge for long but it is undeniable that the crown passed to him the moment his father combusted. It also makes it more powerful and meaningful when he passes the crown to the House of Fingolfin.

I mean ... Man you impress me. You're able to upload a 1h+ complete retrospective on a non obvious part of the lore, all while being able to upload shorter format videos on other various topics regurlarly.
And you're telling me you're alone in working for this channel ???

Maedros is my hero. Such a boss.

Yet we all have to love Finrod... Best two Noldorian princes.

Maedhros unaliving himself is so fitting after everything he suffered through 😩😔

These "complete history of" videos are my favourite. The perfect thing to listen to while doing house chores. A complete history of the Istari or the Nazgûl, or places like Mirkwood or Fangorn forest would be fun too 🌲

Can you do a complete history of forests in the west of middle earth? Their extent and gradual decline?

I would love to hear a podcast-style video of the House of Hador, their deeds (and misdeeds) and legacy.

The story of the sons of Feanor always fills me with such mournful despair, the greatness that the First House could have held if only the oath had not been sworn, what fates of the other kings, Noldoran or otherwise, could have been altered or prevented.

Thank you! High King Darth Gandalf Not every Balrog is confined to Tolkien’s legendarium. I encounter many at my job. This excellent history was a welcome diversion
