I had an ex who would say I had “low standards”. He was right. When I accepted him as a partner, I had low standards.

1. Have your own life and hobbies, create space for him to pursue you

2. Make an effort to maintain yourself and your appearance

3. Love yourself, set the energy. Truly cherish yourself.

4. When he falters, don't take on the masculine role he's neglecting.

5. Be mindful of how your energy is affecting his mood.

Very accurate the phrase "play stupid games, win stupid prizes " 😂❤

About the appearance part, once I started watching Sofia Vergara's character in modern family I loved that. No matter what she was out together. I loved that energy and ever since I tried to bring the' umph' in the mundane. Everyday when I go to work I make sure I look cute. And once I practiced that it is so much fun now.

I’m at the point where I click on your videos without even reading the title. I just know I’m going to learn something valuable regardless. You are such a good teacher, I feel like you’re a big sister to me!

That part in which you mentioned being busy but not just for the sake of being busy but in a authentic way that makes you love your life... Well that's what makes this a Jillz video ❤️

I’m not always waiting his attention
Make myself happy
Let him have his time
Put more efforts on myself
Keep learning
Be obsessed with myself
Love my shape my body my face
Love who I’m
Focus on myself
What the energy I put in his life

I feel like a lot of this advice can be applied to attachment styles and just life advice in general. Even without dating, you should enjoy your life and hobbies. It's good to center yourself and your loved ones ❤

@ThePoeticPriestess 1 year ago

You do need to keep up your physical appearance. I don't know why so many people are afraid to just say that outright.

'You need to be obsessed with yourself, to love yourself first' thank you Jillz for reminding me. Although I've never been in a romantic relationship, you explained perfectly that a partner won't necessarily complete us by filling a void but would add a new kind energy into our lives. But we still need to honour our needs first in order to love others.

@awaymores 2 years ago

I can’t agree with the second advice.
In my past relationship i was the one who tried to chase him and when he finally confessed his love then he became the one who chase and love mostly , while i was unbothered

@saramackeigan627 2 years ago

100% this is what I needed, I’m tired of my masculine energy and would like my feminine energy back. I’ll watch everything to learn how from you ❤

Ladies, listen to Jillz here 👍 Coming from someone happily married for over 20 years, she knows what she's talking about. Had to laugh at the "potato era" comment, having come out of what I called my "fat hobo phase." 🤣 No matter how old you are or long you've been together, prioritizing self-care is so important to not only looking/feeling better, but is a great way to show your partner you love and honor both him and yourself enough to make the effort. He loves me no matter what, but working on loving myself takes things to a whole new level!
