The Misbegotten Crusader has Radagon's reforged moonlight sword that was given during his first marriage.

Ive always thought the Erdtree was grafted onto the Crucible because the dragon's Elden Ring had the Crucible's roots in its design. The golden upper section of the Erdtree and normal bark lower section of the Crucible.

46:35 in an interview with George RR Martin he mentioned the Shattering occured about 5,000 years before the events of the base game

14:13 At Redmane Castle there is a boss fight against a misbegotten crusader and Crucible Knight if the festival isn’t active i guess that’s what he was talking about

I think the Gloam eyed queen was the goddess of the Hornsent and it was her death talked about in the outer god talisman that led to the creation of the formless mother whose influence as evidenced by albinaurics touched by mogh's accursed blood grow horns the Godslayer's Greatsword was probably the biggest indicator

If you want funny Rusty.
Everything in Order, Its Shatter.

Yeah that is Radagon's sword. The original Moonlight Greatsword that Rennala gifted him upon their marriage. He of course remade it in the image of the golden order. Another insult to Rennala. Interestingly found in the hands of a Leonine Misbegotten Crusader in a cave of frozen dragons. (Game file for misbegotten is Children of Radagon) We also see a spirit Misbegotten Crusader defending Trina in the DLC which drops Multilayered Rings of Light. There's some deeper connection between Radagon, the crucible, and Miquella's co-opting of them. We definitely see that Crusader serving Miquella, but it is a spirit and he does charm, though that area is only accessible after the charm is broken.

33:33 "Mighty dragon, thou'rt a trueborn heir."

I always thought it was intentional, with the context of Shadow of the Erdtree especially, that Godrick is talking about a Wyvern dragon instead of an Ancient one. So Godrick is wrong? Because that's not a Trueborn heir. Those dragons are descendants from Bayle's line, not the original dragons. But Godrick not understanding that part would also fit perfectly with his character, just like the grafting part later in TAs video.

1:00:29 "So, the people that understand what's going on, the Golden Order, they understand..."

Considering how Marika was quite secretive about important stuff, I would guess that nobody besides Godfrey, Radagon and maybe the Perceptors had any idea about what the omens really meant. If anyone in the Golden Order knew that the Erdtree was unhealthy/ending, that does not seem like something Marika would want to happen. At least before she came up with the Shattering and that whole thing.

1:08:52 "How that thought process connects to what we know about Mogh and Shadow of the Erdtree..."

If Mogh, as an Omen, is contaminated by the old rootstock and potentially Godwyns Deathroot. Why would Miquella choose him as the body for his new consort? Wouldn't that contaminate Miquella's Age of Compassion? We can see some Mogh elements recurring in the promised consort.

I really wonder how the Misbegotten Warriors, and the Misbegotten Crusader tie to Radagon.
Do they have similar decedents or maybe they are really an offshoot?

Brainrot happens to young people as much as old people frfr.

Excellent observation about Godrick misunderstanding grafting. That was a perspective that I’d never considered.

A big hole in the lore for me, which some lore touches on but I feel is never fully explained, is wraiths and revenants. Both also cursed, and potentially grafted? Very interesting to dig into them.

Another one, from Shadow of the Erdtree: the Omen themselves seem to be a hybrid of the Hornsent and the Bloodfiends. Horns by themselves aren’t necessarily related to the curse of the Omen, given the entire society of the Hornsent. But the curse itself seems to originate from a similar source to whatever cursed the revenants, given the gold-and-black magic the horned Omen release.

Additionally, Omen have cursed blood, which we only really see elsewhere in relation to the Bloodfiends. You could argue Albinaurics have cursed blood, but I take that more as a Golden Order interpretation, compared to the Formless Mother connection that Bloodfiends and the Omen share. Really interesting hybridization.

I’d love to go into more detail but YouTube comments are not always the best place for that.

And yeah, these videos get so good! Glad you’re enjoying Tarnished Botanist as much as I did.

Is it just me or if the volume really low?

I couldn't hear TA in this without turning my volume way up (which was alarming when Mango chimes in... :(

Togethaaaaa!

Ill be the first and never be the last but honestly love this. I enjoy and watching and learning more together and enjoy your commentary. Every time indeed  - sip coffee -
