First Clio's audition
Sakana: She's not sad enough, but she's a hag with potential. Let's wait.

Several months later.
Clio: I lost my job in the uni!! T-T
Sakana: The time has come.

i, for one, dodged a bullet when the Lehman brothers declared bankruptcy, on account of being a goo goo ga ga student at the time.

Sakana has special ninja eyes that can spot diamond in the rough talent.

I like to think Sakana waited for Clio to be a sad girl before hiring her 😂

Other corpos: Nah wtf is that?
Sakana: This is medium scuffed, bookmark the name for later.

Clio lamented the fact that she was constantly getting ghosted by big artist or the course of being in the basement
I'm happy she uplifted so many smaller artists that helped her out over that time period

Clio was locked in the basement but she had an red phone that connected her directly to Sakana.

Aiko using her League of Legends powers to get email responses within 15 minutes.

I'm glad Clio joined Phase. She became someone I usually watch whenever she's live, even if I don't watch the entire live stream xD she's a really good second-screen streamer like Nimi

so happy Clio got into Phase

Sakana only selects the most unhinged talents

Fishman seems to have almost supernatural abilities at picking out talent.

Yeah, Phase is well-known at this point as a reliable partner so artist are confident that they'll paid for what they're doing. You can't really rely on your reputation as an indie in cases like this

About Clio auditioning for Holo, I could see her being like Elizabeth, she would also fit the Great Exordia vibes

I dunno about dogding the bullet thing, I think it does apply for the people who did make a choice to apply even if they weren't picked (but it works more for people who went to the later stages of talks than for people who didn't make it). But if Clio didn't apply at all then it certainly isn't about her lol

if only clio played a clip of LOL game

Sakana has a vision... and if it includes you... embrace it.

This Vtuber sound so neutral.

The way Clio explained her situation is why I'm not fully blackpilled on Vtuber companies. Mainly, if you have people who care and treat this like a sensible business, some good can come from it.
Like the thing with artists, I've heard so many stories of people getting scammed, people taking too long, people over or under work stuff.
Indie is great but you shouldn't expect everything to just work right off the back.

press 0 and repeat, simple fun
