I am retired now, but back when I was driving truck cross country, there were many times I took US Highway 93 from Wells (off I-80) down to I-15, just north of Las Vegas.

It's definitely a a road to NOT take lightly, however some of my favorite drives at night were on that hwy and I always enjoyed the serenity whan parked overnight, as long I was around other trucks that were also parked in safe areas.
