WE ARE SO UNBELIEVABLY BACK! Will be live later today to find more new ghosts and do more SCIENCE!

trying to actually get the new ghosts is the hardest thing about them

What is Obama doing there 😭

Guess who missed the whole news of new ghost and noticed when my crucifix did absolutely nothing

its been three years? damn, i remember the last ghosts being added and i dont even play this game that much. Thanks for all the content

If you want one of the new ghosts, fast forward to 2:39:32

Brace for the "obama" jokes that will be ran into the ground after like 2 weeks.

For those curious about the actual statistics: after 9 games you have a 65% chance of having found one of the new ghosts at least once, to get that to 90% you need to play 20 games, for 95% it's 26 games, and for 99% it's 40 games. Insym had 18 consecutive games without one of the new ghosts, which only has a 12% chance of happening, so he got pretty unlucky.

"right now im an idiot and i love it!"
man i love insym sm

For the lore buffs:
-Dayan come from Indian and Pakistani folklore
-Gallu are in Sumerian and Mesopotamian religion
-Obambo are from the folklore of many Central African tribes

I haven't gotten any of the new ghosts yet after like 10 games, but I did get a Polty that did its ability twice with a big group of the present item nutcracker toys. Sounded like a mass extinction event with all the cries from the nutcrackers!

Dayan is a female ghost in Indian folklore pronounced as "DAA - YN". It is often translated as witch in English, which is not correct.... Basically, the description in the journal is true, a Dayan is a woman who died a cruel or unnatural death and then hunts the male members of the family.... In Indian villages, you will sometimes hear people accusing living women (especially widows) of being a Dayan, simply because they believe these women are connected to witchcraft or because something tragic happens, such as a child dying during birth (yeah this is wrong and such practices are slowly becoming extinct).... I never experienced something like that myself but yeah as a typical Indian grandma my grandma told me a lot of stories of dayan when I was a child...

The Gallu is actually what the native American tribe in IT: Welcome to Derry call Pennywise at one point.

btw my gallu working theory is 1 enraged hunt then 1 exhausted hunt

As an Indian i can tell you about dayan that in stories, she is a woman who was killed brutally after having a terrible life in which she faced gender unequality stereotypes and faced harrasments eventually costing her life

36:48 FYI - If you watch the detailed breakdown of the stats at the end you'll see the multiplier. Basically it looks like the multiplier applies to everything before the word multiplier, then adds things like bone evidence after.

So you got
100 - ghost type
92 - media
100 - investigation bonus which I think was daily objectives?
So 292 total.

Then the x2.8 multiplier, making it 818xp

Then add 25 for the bone for 843

Then the x2 holiday multiplier for everything, giving you the total 1686xp

A ghost that learns from its experiences, meaning that if you use a smudge, salt or crucifix once, the ghost is no longer affected by it with like a 3minute cooldown

2:23 the devs have made insym Christmas wish. 10:12 that was the longest time I ever saw a ghost in the toilet. 😂🤣 2:39:32 so glad that insym got to see the new ghost.

The Gallu the time I encountered was very easy to identify. It felt like when I used Protective Equipment (Smudging) made it so that it haunted for longer for that hunt, but took longer hunt afterwards, like it lowered the sanity requirement.
If I were to guess, if you use something like the Cross, it would use it up quicker until it hunts, have a Cursed Hunt, then take an extremely long time to hunt again.
Please note, I am a casual, only really playing it once a week or so, so I might be extremely off in my own observation.
I didn't encounter the other two ghosts, quite frankly it was a Phantom/Mimic kind of day when I played.

Lol watching this is like witnessing a man's slow descent into madness. I'm two and a half hours in and at this point he's just screaming ANSWER ME at a toilet.
