私も40台でうつ病になって経験があるので気になっていました。
寝たきり状態が６月続き、徐々に起きる時間が長くなりツールやジロをチラ見できるようになっていました。
休職から９か月、趣味で乗る程度だったロードバイクでしたが「自転車レースに参加する」という、当時の自分としてはとんでもなく高い目標を立てました。
もともと体力もなく毎回チョイノリのみだったため、家内は目を丸くして驚いていましたが応援してくれました。
参加の理由は単純で、壊れてしまった自分を治すために、まったく別の方向から力を加えてみようと思ったんです。
言い訳を許さないよう最新のロードバイクと当時流行し始めたスマートトレーナーを手に入れトレーニングを開始。
薬と体力のコントロールを自分なりに調整していって、１年後には著名な長野、山梨のヒルクライムレースに参戦していました。
レース参加とともに会社への復帰も果たし、自転車が復帰の大きな原動力になった忘れられない経験です。

こうした経験があるため、まささんの話を聞いたとき他人事には思えず気になっていたんです。
自転車のある人生は大きな財産だと私は思います。
これからも大いに楽しんでいただき、良き人生を送ってほしいです。
期待されるのが辛い、目標が見えないのはジャンルは違えど全く同じです。
自転車に乗るのも諦めてましたが話を聞いて同じ人がいることに安心しました。
辛抱強く頑張ります。
彼と全く同じ気持ちで見てました
最初はツールドフランスの奴からマサくんの動画を見始めて、そこから鈴鹿・日産・美山・堺浜のレース映像で好成績を残していくのを感激しながら見てたけど、
結局行きつくところ、マサくんが楽しそうにしてくれてたらいいなって気持ちでした。
動画撮影も編集も工数が多いから気乗りしない時もあるでしょうけど、イモティ―と仲良く楽しく生きててくれたらそれでもう充分です。
私がロードを知ったのは弱虫ペダルでしたが、ロードを始めたのはマサくんのおかげです。
これからも応援してます！
自転車で地球を楽しむ感覚分かるで！この連休、四国カルスト走ろうと思ってたのに風邪ひいてしまってお預けくらったけど、もっと高知県を楽しめるプランにリスケしようと思ってる！

保護者として、子供の活動を応援していますが、大会の運営者やチームの運営者を含め、安全面の配慮はほとんど行われていません。
ごく1部の若手のコーチは、個人走行や集団走行の前に、まず安全に走れる技術を身に付ける指導を行っていますが、このような指導はかなりレアなようです。
結果として、強さはともかく、安全に走る技術は、レース参加者の間でもばらつきが大きくなり、自分が大丈夫でも巻き込まれで大怪我するリスクは、どのレベル帯でも常に付き纏います。
また、コースの特性によって求められる安全を守るための技術は大きく異なりますが、この点の理解もあまり浸透していないように思います。
最も危険なのは雨天のレースでしょうか
路面のコンディションで、落車の危険性は数倍に跳ね上がります。
それにもかかわらず、日本の場合、国際レースとの日程の兼ね合いで、全日本選手権など最重要なレースが梅雨時に行われ、有望な若手が大怪我をするケースもあります。
誰もが誰かが何とかすべきと考えていると思いますが、自分が矢面に立って変えるよりも、レースでチームや個人の実績を伸ばし確固たる地位を築き上げるのが優先になってしまっているところもあるように思います
