Edgar was a musical genius on multiple fronts, while Johnny was a Texas Blues giant on guitar. If you haven't done "FRANKENSTEIN" by Edgar Winter group. You will be equally knocked off your chairs.

The talent of Edgar Winter who plays about every instrument is extraordinary, his brother Johnny is one of the all time greats...together fire.

Edgar Winter-Frankenstein Live 1973 be prepared for more greatness

If you haven't heard (or seen) Edgar doing his song "Frankenstein" live from 1973, you GOTTA see it.

The bass player is Tommy Shannon who went on to SRV and Double Trouble.

Bothe albinos, legally blind, the light killed their eyes - notice Johnny on the guitar has his eyes closed almost all the time. Great artist; both
brothers.

Two albinos from Texas. Two of the best. RIP Johnny.

Edgar just did a tribute album to Johnny.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Edgar Winter could play just about every instrument there was. 🥁🎻🎺🎸🎸🎹🎙🎶 A multi talented pair of brothers that's for sure 👌

It's definitely his voice. A talented family.

The more I watch this video (your reaction was on point), the more layers of talent I uncover. The Winter brothers are/were a gift to humanity. Simply astonishing.

Johnny Winters was nothing less than a BRILLANT ROCKIN BLUESMAN, PERIOD!

@bocephus1911 3 years ago

He’s on so many peoples albums playing sax , Tina Turner he was on most of her albums she made sure of that

The Winter brothers were on another level.

He’s a genius, plays a million instruments by himself

I had suggested this quite a while back. I'm glad you liked it. RIP, Johnny-a true legend, so underrated and the best bluesman to ever live in my opinion. And what can't Edgar play? Maybe you can also react to Be Careful With A Fool-same concert. I believe this was in Amsterdam.

Please listen to his studio stuff. Funk, jazz, soul, rock, blues........!!! INCREDIBLE!

@michellebauer6352 2 years ago

They were both legally blind. Parents were musical. They both have perfect pitch. Edgar still doing live shows at 75.
