Remember  when frazier said there no chance gbs would win.

“If you’re playing gbs you should check yourself into an institution” - Frazier Smith. Said during the hero beat era 😂

Glad Beast definitely GX era. Like how DAD Return was GX then turned to TeleDAD in 5ds

Opponents open up heavy 50-70% of the time when loaded up gbs

Gladiator Beasts come from the end of the GX Era. Right there with Dark Armed Dragon and Lightsworn.

Never understand why GB received so much hate in this modern edison era when the deck was obviously nuts back in 2010, not the best deck but is easy a 1.5 tier deck in this format, is lethal in the hands od good players, deserved win for me

I’ll never forget seeing Paul make a gb deck when they only had herk at a Edison regional. I was like what is he doing then he topped and bodied everyone and I was like oh deck is crack and herk is thanos

Congrats to Chase! Heard about this hidden boss for a while and hes just CRACKED

I predict that blacking will start using book more in the glass match up. Counters test tiger, counters the consecrated light side in, chainable, and it’s not effect by trap stun.

Thanks for the christmas eve gift! Helping me get through work today

This wasn't a teach me how to cook it was more a YugiCab Confesions. Still loved it!!!

im a gb hater in the purest form but cant help but root for anyone that puts the time in to get the results. Simpson is having an insane year and deserves all the success he's had. I feel like I learn something new about gbs from every replay of his. Much respect

Congrats to Chase! Well deserved.

4:21 basically asking “who hurt you” 😂

Chase is a real good dude! We share the same locals lol

GOAT nobody deserved this more

As I've said in my previous comment, between Gladiator's Assault (November 2007) and Crimson Crisis (February 2009) we actually got a lot more bad GB cards than good.

Dimicari: attacks twice
Octavious: 2500, destroys a face down S/T, can't take out and you must discard a card
Alexander: 2400, unaffected by spells, can only be tagged in by Dimicari
Torax: when you tag him out, you can draw 1 card, but only if he's been tagged into.
Spartacus: 2200, can add a GB equip spell from deck to hand, can only be tagged into by Hippo.
Spartacus fusion (I forget his name): does burn damage equal to the Defense of a monster he kills in battle. Tags out into 2.
Test Ape: a recruiter for GBs.
Essidari: 2500 vanilla fusion, requires any 2 GBs.
All the GB equip spells, quick-play spells, field spell, and their themed traps (except Chariot.)

Gladiator Beasts are from the GX era. They first came out in Gladiator's Assault in November 2007 and they were never meant to be a competitive deck. They just kind of wound up that way due to innovation from the players. In that set, and in preceding sets that gave them "support", we actually got a lot more bad GB cards than good. They were really only created to sell the Contact Fusion mechanic since that's how the Neos fusions worked, which they were still making more of (GBs were basically an alternative archetype that worked the same way.)

The construction of this deck proves that the most important thing in this game is the player’s skill. It is a fairly standard deck, with no surprise cards or anything that reflects the player’s creativity. Gladiator Beasts are simply too good, with their various support cards, they are almost unbeatable.

lets goooo chase
