Friends, we're heading towards Panama. We'll depart from San Martin, pass under the drawbridges on the Dutch side of the island, and set course for the Dominican Republic. The 300-nautical-mile crossing took several days, and we experienced both good and stormy weather. We tried to film it all and will share it with you.

Dutch side bridge opening schedule
Entering the bay from Simpson Bay:

The Causeway Bridge can be crossed in both directions simultaneously.

Before entering, you must inform the VHF12 (Bridge Control) operator of your intention to proceed either to the Dutch side or to cross the Causeway Bridge. This data is purely informational for the operator. If you don't tell them, they might not open the second bridge if there's no one at the entrance or exit.
