We Did a Cannonball Run with ATS Road Trip

Cannonball Run with ‪@GOWENYT‬ and ‪@dgoodin24‬ in American Truck Simulator with the Ford DLC Pack! The challenge is to do a cannonball run from Chicago to Los Angeles. Fuel and preventing damage to your vehicle will be key components to winning this race. 2,000 miles and only one state (Colorado) where we have to maintain the speed limit, adds to the stress of managing your time and maintenance of your car. Would you like to see more of these cannonball runs? Let me know in the comments below.

I can’t believe I made it into a Jeff Favignano video

In a weird way the game that doesn't want to be a racing game and actively punishes you for driving recklessly is the best racing game of all

The can of worms that SCS just opened with adding cars, the sky is the limit!

Imagine modded police cars, chasing your friends around America. A game not designed for that driving will be the best type of chaos.

They really do need more gas stations, but that final crash coming off the exit, pure comedy

Just a friendly reminder that the Dodge Challenger Hellcat and Dodge Viper are slated to be in road trip as well.
Judging how this video went, I only have one thing to say when they come out:

God help us all

If this video doesn't sell this game, I don't know what will.

"did our best to not run in to each other" Dylan: is that a challenge?

That last corner with the F-150 flying through the air was gold lol

At the end your Mustang probably resembled Eleanor at the end of Gone in Sixty Seconds.

“C’mon don’t start, don’t start….NO I mean start, START!”

This was fun to watch. SCS cooked with this DLC 🤩

That last corner made me realize: You could make a whole cat-and-mouse game based on the 1978 movie Duel, particularly with how fast some of those trucks can go when fully upgraded

I’ve driven the section of 80 from Davenport to Denver many times and it’s weird how accurate it looks!

You guys should do this event with the "coast to coast" map mod, then you guys should be able to do a real cannonball run😉

It constantly amazed me just how good ats's physics and driving model can be when it wants to, and how horrible it can be when it doesn't. This looks like an absolute BLAST, really. The game constantly punishes you for trying to go fast, at the same time as it's actively incentivising you to do so by just being so ridiculously fun.

That intro scene is the type of thing that, if done irl, would be the "driving the rest of the way home in silence" kind
