Story three, The AUDACITY that someone would pick up MY MOM'S phone and tell me she's TOO BUSY?

Wedding story: The fact she told him the amount of money involved says she’s absolutely trying to guilt him. I mean, why else would she mention it?

The healthiest way to lose a lot of unsightly weight quickly is to dump an obnoxious partner.

Stoey 3. If your dating someone with a child, you don't get to pretend that the child doesn't exist.

1 - I think there's also a difference between "dating someone younger" and "dating someone who is your children's age". The classmate bit just adds to it.

I wonder what Frank's parents thought when his gf showed up to his graduation and she was closer to their age....

Legally wrong and morally wrong are two things that don't always overlap.

Story 3: The mom was the problem, she should have been insisting her son attended all events the step children attended and questioned why he hadn't been invited. She was actively leaving him home and ignoring him. It was not a power imbalance.

28:08  I am so proud of OP3 for not falling for the BS his mum and her fiancé are spewing and the mum's fake/manipulative tears. He's only 15 yet he's able to stand up for himself better than I probably could now.

Story 3: I really wanna hug this kid. He doesn’t deserve to be tossed aside cuz his mom found a new family

Yo, the 15yr old OP is a fucking boss. He's gonna go far in life.

In story 3 It sounds like Op’s mom fiance paying for Op school it sounds more like an shitty excuse to say “ but he did this for you”

also, her canceling the wedding is just gonna make OP look worse in the fiancé’s family’s eyes. They’re gonna use this now as evidence as him being bratty, even though he isn’t improving their mind that their opinion of him is correct.

Third story, I foresee OP's 'mother' being all by herself in the future. She responded with 'I'm sorry you felt that way' when confronted. That's not an apology, that's a deflection and placing the blame on the victim. OP already saw her through her BS too so he should get ready to move on with his paternal grandparents. I also see her fiancé becoming an ex because if he's as 'introverted' as she claims? His family is going to make him split because she canceled a $750k+ wedding for a kid they already seemingly hate.

Edit on September 30: There's been a few updates on the story so far and still not concluded, most recent update being on September 28. The wedding was legitimately canceled and OP's is actually putting in effort to be the mom she was before. She's not quite there, but OP mentions he's been feeling better about it. The fiancé has also been trying, but with the most recent update it seems like things are crumbling. His mom and her fiancé got into a heated fight and, unsurprisingly, his family is really unhappy with OP. Fighting back the claims that they hate him and that they don't see him as family because he doesn't see them as family (nevermind they started it), as well as general unhappiness over the wedding being canceled. My two cents is that yeah, I don't think the wedding will happen and it'll just be OP and his mom

The second OP being upset about the breakup despite knowing it was for the best and that her reasons for it were right is normal, she just needed to mourn the relationship and take some time to be upset and then eventually bounce back.

Excluded from everything: how do you either a. Ignore your only kid so much he HAS to step in and say “hey I’m feeling left out of EVERYTHING” or B. Keep trying to dump him off to everyone else like he wouldn’t wisen up that he was being intentionally excluded by his own mom? Like what the actual fuck?

Story 3: The boy is in a no-win situation. I don't believe the mom, the fiance guy didn't do anything for years, and his family is gonna hate OP for cancelling this crazy expensive wedding. I'm glad OP at least recognized that he's not wrong and his mother is being selfish. Kind of hope he can still go to his grandparents if he wants to.

From a cold observer's PoV, it sounded like the fiance and his family were doing more than just push out OP3 just because he's a living remnant of his mom's previous period in life. Keeping mom busy and not even reminding her to call OP back?
In what other ways will fiance's family isolate OP's mom from not just her son, but her friends, sister (OP's aunt), and everyone she knew before being engaged and married to the fiance? The masks usually come off after a year of the newcomer getting comfortable.

39:04 Get those commenters, OP3!

S1: Just imagine a parent asking her when she cheers for Frank "Is that your son?", and she gets/has to reply with "No that's my boyfriend. My boy is graduating someplace else today". 🤢

Story 3/Excluded from Everything: Telling a child to suck up being shut out by the only parent she has left is... Peak Reddit.
There's a difference between having genuine concerns about being left out of everything because you're a kid from "the other marriage" and "being difficult".
Why is it that OP's mom is allowed to be a second mother to the rich family, but OP isn't allowed to be part of the family?
And putting the onus of cancelling the wedding on OP is insanely manipulative like... he's 15 and despite being together for 3 years you never bothered to try and include him? And then you decide to spend a house's worth on aa wedding when you've been icing out your own biological son on top of that?
I swear the mother cares more about being rich than her own genetics, disgustting.

"I didn't know you were being excluded!"

Did you... really not pay any attention to the people in the room you're in? I can't fathom it. Especially when OP is a minor. She can't keep track of her child and consciously dumps him on her sister on a regular basis. She knows. She just didn't expect him to put his foot down.

Also that "well he was going to pay for your schooling!" Yeah, right. And I saw a pig fly yesterday.
