The absolute RNG that Omega didn't spam HP recover a bazillion times lmao

'X and Zero live' I can't help but imagine Iris in the afterlife babysitting Zero's 300 adopted kids from the Zero games and slowly going insane waiting for him to die

I recently found your channel and your content on Megaman Zero and Megaman ZX series, and for a Megaman lover like me, I must say it's like finding gold!. I love the quality of your videos, not a single dull moment, you deserve way more attention!

I'm guessing that the names Prometheus and Pandora in ZX are both references to the Greek myths that those moons are named after. In legend Prometheus and Pandora were both bearers of knowledge, Prometheus was a titan involved in the creation of humanity and stole fire from the gods to give to mankind, giving humans the capacity for knowledge, technology, and civilization; Pandora was an early human who, in retaliation for Prometheus's prior actions, was given a jar filled with curses and misery (commonly known as "Pandora's Box" due to a slight mistranslation), but also contained the hope to continue in the face of misery.

There's also a darker version of the myth where hope was presented as a false expectation, another curse that merely disguises itself as good intention but actually does great harm by fooling people into thinking something better is on the horizon. Coincidentally "hope" in ancient Greek is "Elpis" which should sound familiar to anyone who's played Mega Man Zero as that was transliterated as "Elpizo," the name of a character full of false hope who inspired similar false hope in others. Interestingly enough Elpizo was also accompanied by two other reploids with Greek names, Ethos/Isosu and Pathos/Pasosu, who are named after two of Aristotle's three arguments, a set of different means of appealing to people. Ethos means appeal using credibility of character or authority, Pathos means appeal to emotion or sympathy, conspicuously absent is the third argument: Logos, appeal to logic, as Elpizo ultimately lacked logic or sanity. Zero and ZX had a ton of subtle mythological references in their names and lore that I loved finding.

Also also the ZX soundtrack names the city the first ZX game takes place in as "Cinq Ville," which is French for "Five City." The Zero and ZX series had a lot of French naming, most of the Resistance Reploids in the Zero series were named French words for different types of birds, and all of the possible names for the cyber elf in Zero 4 are French.

ZX such an underrated game, grew up with it and Advent and I loved them both. I know most of the Zero community dislikes ZX but its just nostalgia for me.

I want to thank you for not only showing everything these games have to offer but also giving a resume of the plot, because as a child I never understood what was going on.

The ZX duo were such underappreciated games and it's a damn shame that Advent ended on an unresolved cliff hanger because Capcom decided to just cancel ZX "C" for seemingly no reason.

43:54 "...in HIS game." - Prometheus

Imma shut up now.

On the humanoid/reploid lore, you can easily tell reploids by the red triangles on their foreheads

A small note: Vent and Aile do NOT co-exist. If you pick Vent, Aile doesn't exist. If you pick Aile, Vent doesn't exist. Which is weird, because in ZX Advent both Ashe and Grey exist. If you pick Ashe, Grey dies and you eventually meet Vent. If you pick Grey, Ashe dies and you eventually meet Aile.

And because of the story given for the characters, the canon characters are Aile & Grey. There are a LOT of story beats that do NOT get told if you play as Vent or Ashe.

Also, the secret biometal isn't locked behind New Game+ per se. At least on the DS version, you had to go to Area O & if you had either Zero 3 or Zero 4 in the GBA slot of your DS you could battle four of the boss reploids from those games. Beat all 4 from one of those games and you could fight the secret boss to get the secret Biometal, all before the final boss.

Really wish we could get a ZX3 that doubled down on the Metroidvania aspects ZX1 and Advent pioneered. And did some other things I won't mention until the Advent video.

It always makes me happy to see recent ZX videos. As a minor note, you can make the letter delivery a lot easier by turning off the pump to the fountain to reveal a transerver

I always throw hands with Omega. He heal, I heal. He triple slash, I triple slash. Charge buster? Charge buster. No fancy feet, always forward dash.  😂

Didn't expect the next video to be so soon after Zero 4! Thanks for the treat!

Ciel does WHAT in the manga?!
Damn that's cool

What I find weird is that I went through the whole game without doing missions or taking any upgrade... I didn't know there were missions in the first place....

Glad to see you go through this game too, and it was so good to see Omega in this game. You get to experience what a fight against Omega was like for every combatant not made by Dr Albert Wily. Get to understand why people kept calling Wily's last child a God of Destruction. Understand why Sigma tried so hard to convert him.

This content is absolute peak, this quality is absolutely insanee. I'll follow through any game you do at this point, the narration and quips are so well done and the editingggg~ masterclass

While you were gushing at Lurrere's voice the OST background for the stage gave me a sense that I at least got to hear Leviathan's voice a final time.

I have so many fond memories from Mega Man ZX and ZX Advent -- Alie, Vent, Grey and Ashe are my favorite protagonists of the franchise.

Also, regarding Model O being and the lack of lore behind it, it really makes Omega's presence be felt as mysterious as possible, and even in the Manga for ZX Advent we don't know how it was made, they had it and it ended possesing Alie to be Mega Man OX to fight the Model A Megas... which ended in a cliffhanger.
