When you are an island as small as Britain, it helps to have an effcient highly trained millitary. Quality over quantity.

From a UK point of view its not about proving who is best or trying to show anyone up, its simply about showing that every plan, no matter how carefully conceived, has its weaknesses and backdoors that may be exploited. If you know about those weaknesses, you are prepared....if not then you remain vulnerable to attack. I'm proud that we showed up these weaknesses and thus made our united defences stronger and more resilient to attack.

The Vulcan has to be one of the most beautiful aircraft ever built.

The British Vulcan bomber was in a class of its own.. Like the Spitfire, Harrier Jump Jet & Concorde.. Was a very special plane! 👍🇬🇧🇺🇸

For some reason the RAF were not invited to participate in Sky Shield 3

Every American youtuber reacting to this: "Ive never heard of this before"
US Govt: "You're goddamn right"

We may not be the biggest, but we are bloody sneaky when we have to be.

Apparently, the Vulcan that landed at New York was invisible to air traffic control until it popped up on their screen and asked for permission to land........

US: You only have a 1% chance of getting through!

RAF: We'll take those odds.

Those Brits are and always well ahead of their game with Military tech and great tacticians too..Hats off to them . very clever!I did read about how the Soviets would shit there pants with regards to the V bomber families.. lol "greetings from Germany"

I like the fact that in Skyshield 1 the USA used 350 defensive fighters and 7 Vulcans got through. In Skyshield 2 the USA used 1800 fighters and still 7 Vulcans got through!

No matter how often you practice against your own people, there is nothing like a fresh pair of eyes to exploit weaknesses.
That's why friendly nations train together.

From a Brits point of view, you have to be one of the coolest down to earth American I have ever come across. Also,, what an amazing beard 😁😁😁😁

The Royal Air Force. Quality over Quantity. Salute

The US knew we were coming, they grounded all air traffic to make it easier to spot us. Still got through largely undetected and got the job done.

This is what friends are for, exposing gaps in your sense of humour, and your nuclear defenses.

The Vulcan howl is the scariest thing I’ve ever heard.

@owensmith6357 5 years ago (edited)

The last flying Vulcan done a lap of honour of the UK a few years back .. While passing the USAF base at RAF Lakenheath she was given an honour guard by US F15s .. respect from all aviators involved & thank you.

I love how Britain is looked at as a small nation with no obvious threat. Well... Germany learnt, America learnt & Argentina learnt the hard way. Yes we’re a small nation. But we’ve always punched above our weight class & won.
