This was the last hurrah of the great West Indian run in cricket that begun in the mid 70s. They started to show the vulnerabilities but was masked by the greatness of Lara, Walsh and Ambrose for the next few years.

It was wonderful to hear the commentary of Richie Benaud in these clips. As a UK cricket fan, the two names that always come to mind when it comes to cricket commentary are John Arlott and Richie Benaud. The fact that one was English and the other Australian is not really relevant to my estimation of their greatness, but it is, somehow, appropriate.

The greatest Channel 9 commentary team , even on a dull draw they will keep you glued to the TV sets .

I member being up nervously all night here in the west indies as a teen.
TV turned down low not to disturb my family.
When Walsh took that last wicket I jumped and screamed so loudly that my mom came running out her room in panic...
What a memory...
Great game of cricket...

The first match, this is a perfect example of how cricket should be played, how to attack, and how to defend. There is everything in this match the game of cricket can offer.

I remember it like yesterday. I was on my way home that night and stopped at a shop in Port Antonio. It was gripping and everyone who stopped by stayed . I can still remember the commentator saying one run to tie, one wicket to win. Courtney cuddy Walsh did it. We won

I remember this. Once we tied the series 1-1, I just knew we’d win in Perth. Fun times.

South African, here.. Wow.. What a video!.. What memo's!.. The 1993 test series vs Auz, reminded me of high school.. RIP, Warnie.. What a player you were.. With your voice no more, cricket lost a legend.. Thank you for uploading this gem..

Amazing to hear the voice over artist saying DRS still 15 years away because OZs got 1 bad decision but watched other video of this channel of 2007-08 BGT where Australia won on that back of as many as 14 cheating decisions where clerk & Ponting claimed grassed catches & then celebrated the victory as if they've achieved something great.

The fact is OZs can never win without help from the umpires.

Great Windies bowlers did to Australia exactly what they usually do to other teams.

This was so satisfying to watch.

Also Australia was blessed to have all the legends in their team like Warne & McGrath. No matter how much you hate them but you'll always tune in to watch them & enjoy how they destroy the opposition.

As an Indian I never thought the Indian team ever had any chance of winning against mighty Australians but every one loved watching OZ team & Great Sachin Tendulkar in action.

Any all-time world eleven touring to Australia to play test cricket will have Sir Richard Hadlee, Sir Curtly Ambrose and Jasprit Bumrah as fast bowlers
