Finland has for decades been developing one of the world's most interesting defence systems. Shelters that can accommodate almost the entire population of the country are an inspiration to many. Finns seem prepared for the worst scenarios - even a potential war with its neighbour, Russia.

Finland does not need to showcase the capacity and ability of its Armed Forces when every Finn is prepared to fight for Finland.
Brothers, cousins, friends and even fathers and sons fought side by side and in some tragic cases all the males of a family could be wiped out by a single battle.
