The 90s-2000s era of tag team wrestling was golden

The most iconic Match for the Hardy Boyz In my Opinion is the Triple Threat tag team Ladder Match at WrestleMania against The Dudley's and Edge & Christian.

Rewatching the tag team ladder match at No mercy 99, you remember very clearly now why they got a standing ovation the next night on Raw. That match ALONE set such a high standard for all tag team ladder matches after.

of course the triple threat matches are always referenced, but for me, nothing is better or more important than the 1999 No Mercy ladder match. absolute game changer. the entire landscape of any matches involving ladders from then on. not even a moment of a true botch. i remember being 14 years old and watching the scrambled PPV just to see the conclusion of their series, the Hardys and E&C appealed to me from the get. I love this match.

Jim Ross is one of the greatest commentators ever. Except, he had a heck of a time keeping Matt and Jeff and Edge and Christian straight.

1:01:23 JR being a master of commentary with that subtle pause.

The Hardys stole the show alongside Edge and Christian and The Dudley Boys in the Attitude Era, they became the best and most iconic team of the Ruthless Aggression Era, they came back to WWE and stole the show again towards the end of the PG era, and now they are the TNA and NXT champions in the current era. Matt and Jeff Hardy are truly timeless!

@michaelaburns734 11 months ago (edited)

Thank you for the memories Dudleys.
Matt and Jeff are still in WWE.
Edge and Christian are in AEW
Those two have a bit in the tank.

I'll always love Matt and Jeff Hardy not just for the memories but because they're from a few towns over from me and they take care of their community

155:55 They really setup that surprise return perfectly. Everyone assumed New Day would be the team added as they wanted to be the thought, crowd doing the who who, so that reaction when music hit was insane.
