A: don’t make my relive Poe’s death again. Why would you do that? T-T B: spoilers for The Owl House and Plagueround, but if you’re here you’ve already probably seen Plagueround.
Ever notice how similar Poe and Flapjack are? Like, they’re both the bird familiar of a boy whose father figure isn’t actually his biological dad, but he has daddy issues with that father figure, and the father figure in question does not approve of this familiar, and the boy technically doesn’t have any magic of his own but his bird makes him magical, so he goes to a magic school, and at first the relationship between the bird and the boy is strained but they learn to love each other, but then at the climax of the story, when the boy is about to die, the bird sacrifices himself to save the boy, healing his wounds and turning into magical particles.
