Danger Close | The Untold Story of a Fallen Green Beret | Rob Pirelli | Full Combat Documentary

Danger Close follows freelance war correspondent Alex Quade as she embeds with U.S. Special Operations Forces in Afghanistan and Iraq, accompanying elite teams on high-priority raids against enemy hideouts and weapons caches. But this is more than a combat documentary. Beginning in 2007, Quade makes it the personal story of one soldier — fallen Green Beret Rob Pirelli — interviewing his fellow soldiers, visiting his parents at their home, and tracking the progress of Combat Outpost Pirelli, the forward base named in his honor. Featuring gripping night-vision footage of large-scale air assaults and rescue missions, Danger Close is an unflinching tribute to the courage of Special Forces and the lasting legacy of those who gave everything. The third film in the acclaimed series from directors Christian Tureaud and David Salzberg (The Hornet's Nest, Citizen Soldier).
