"For the first time in a while I can say: Let's meet back tomorrow, shall we?"

Never did I believe that hearing such a small and simple sentence could bring a tear to my eyes. I'm grateful for the Vlogs return however long or short it shall be.

If a vet took my pet into a back room for half an hour, came back and asked "do you have her rabies records?" I think my heart would actually stop

Ah, this is the day.  The day where so much happened.  I'm glad y'all made it through seemingly on top of it all!

"This is not my car, that's a fun side story"
Stephen has turned into a car-thief now without all the vlogging.

At this point I suspect Stephen could get a degree in cat psychology, if such a thing exists.

Proud of her being feisty when she's feeling so sick, she told them where they can stick their thermometer. they don't seem like a cat friendly emergency vet. when you see your normal vet perhaps ask them for emergency vet recommendations. my family did that right before our 19 year old cat passed away, and while it was a bit of an extra trip, the emergency vet we went to was far better then the one we went to previously that left us in a room for 2 hours while our baby girl was pooping and puking all over the floor. (she was suffering from untreated hyperthyroidism.)

When I liked this video it turned into a kitty icon!

The most validating thing I've ever heard about trauma was from the late, great Captain Alfred Haynes. Keep in mind, this man had been in command of a flight crew for a commercial flight that had to fly what was considered at the time to be literally unflyable into a survivable crash-landing. Such an event must have been an immense weight to bear, but he had this to say- that it didn't matter how "big" the event was, any stressful event can cause lasting trauma. It doesn't matter if death is involved, either- his daughter had needed a bone marrow transplant, and that had been an incredibly stressful event for their family. I will often make jokes about my own problems because that's how I cope, but I never try to downplay how serious it is to have to deal with those effects. Don't feel bad about having the problems. Kepler and Sagan were very important (especially to you), and no one with any sense could blame you for feeling the way you do.

"Day 2: I have a criminal record now. Tomorrow, I'm gonna break out of jail. Wish me luck." Vera is my queen, she already owns my heart. I wish nothing but the best for her. For all three, of course, but I have a soft spot for little girl. 🥺

Oh no. Poor girl. Hope it is only stress.  Sending the good vibes

Poor Tycho and Vera dealing with all this anxiety and sickness, meanwhile Newton is doing sickass backflips in the playroom completely unbothered

I had a Emergency vet visit with my cat, where he also scratched them. So they refused to give him any meds. I asked for a towel and made a burrito out of him and gave him the meds. I still wonder to this day if they have any experience with stressed/frightened cats.

I had brother and sister cats years ago and they were raised together. He got up to about 15-16 pounds and she weighed about 7 pounds. They got along great, they slept together, played together, but the male was so big that it really wasn’t quite fair when they wrestled. She’d end up screaming because he pinned her down and she couldn’t get up. Half the time she was the one that started the wrestling match. So you guys might end up being referees from time to time.

Mal strikes me as the kind of person who would sleep in the bathtub if need be and i honestly love the thought, I'd probably do the same

poor lil girl kitty. I love her astronocat blanket.
also thats a strict vet, my Hugo bites vets all the time and they're just like 'oh, okay, don't touch this cat's teeth, its sets him off'

11:57 for anyone using this for cat advice, if your cat is picky and you've tried everything, you can use human chicken or turkey baby food (ensure that the only ingredient is the meat). My aunt's cats are elderly and struggle with appetite and when it gets really bad that's what we give them. They seem to like the texture (it's similar to churu)

It's been a journey in itself watching this video. Here's hoping their health improves.

We had a pretty bad experience with an emergency vet when our dog was not doing well so I understand the trauma for sure. I hope the kitties doing well! ❤

Oh the poor babe. I hope she feels better soon and that the triple cat trial will calm down a bit as things go forward. Looking forward to your vlogs since I haven't had a chance to catch streams over the past 4-6 months

Hey Stephen, not sure if you'll see this or not: Churu makes wet foods. They're either like, a loose patte, or a "chowder". You might be able to tempt the white one with that?
