"If you love this tram as much as me" Proceeds to punch, crash, and drown said tram

Looking vintage!

5:20 I'm absolutely certain this one is based on a mix of San Francisco cable cars and historic streetcars. The 32 sign on the pier is almost identical to the sea lion sign at Pier 39 (plus the inclusion of a seal in the set).

As for the tram itself, the front looks a lot like the front of the Milan streetcars that operate there, but with the open sides and seating layout of the cable cars. So it's not an exact 1:1 of anything as far as I know, but is more of an homage to the trams of San Francisco as a whole :)

I have build my 6 modular buildings into 8 of the buldings (Theatre, bookshop, railwaystation and so on) from my hometown, and put them on display. When I was a kid, we used to have trams in the city, but they are long gone. But for nostalgia reasons, I was pleased to see this tram, that fit nicely into my city. Also because we have a beach, were the bus stops, and the tram stoped when I was a kid.

It looks quite a bit like an old-fashioned tram from The Hague in The Netherlands.

Its crazy to think we have 2 trams and 5 trains on shelves currently (granted one of them is a Christmas themed train).

fab vid! the old blue Stockholm classic trams come immediately to mind

Just picked up this set, excited to build. I loved your style of presentation and I've subscribed!

I don't really collect city sets apart from modulars, but I found this on sale so I couldn't resist.

This and the holiday tram take such huge inspiration from San Francisco. Look at the pier sign style with that of the Pier 39 branding in SF and the holiday tram is literally a cable car. Though it seems like this tram takes inspiration from some other city.

Nice review! I like your enthusiasm 👌😅

Cool!

Nice video with great B-roll. Haven't seen great discounts on the last tram/streetcar/trolley released so haven't picked it up. I like the styling of this more anyway.

I wish lego would make some special tiles i could put in the curved rails so it could fit in a road

Christchurch tram mentioned!

I remember trying to build my own custom single tram car back in 1989/90....I had used boogie wheels from a toy train carriage car and modified/built it the way up and lastly run it the very same toy train set track?! I did a good job at 10/11 years old but the trams I built were too colourful because of random Lego bricks with alot of red as well. Now 36 years later there's so many dedicated sets to railways then there ever was.........

He finally posted!

I'm 99% certain the set was inspired by San Francisco F Tram line, which can get you to the pier 39 with sea lions viewing area. On this line they have Peter Witt streetcars, and I clearly see the resemblance, except the open area, which was probably borrowed from SF cablecars
