I think about "Alexis Michelle. Your Native American couture left the judges with... reservations" every single day

i found lala ri’s bag look genuinely inspiring. she was so happy to look a mess and she still tried to serve. sometimes thats all of us really

Not Joey Jay pioneering the Before and After category from AS7 with her Poison IV Bag look

hot take: i hate when the dragwiki people call design challenges balls, if ru doesn't call it a ball then it shouldn't be seen as a ball challenge

Yaaas! Cmon 16!
Also our ball was the “Mother Ball”

The first category was “Mother Goose” so def fair tale inspired haha

when i get on drag race season 23 i can’t wait to be in your videos mama

So early Tina burner hasn’t stepped on a land mine yet

I wonder how much Shannel's Miss Mandarin influenced season 1's placement

One thing I like to point out about the season 9 ball, is that there were six village people characters. Why didn’t they use the army guy instead of the Native American😭

This is how I learned the queens weren’t actually in the mascot outfits and now I feel stupid that I didn’t realize that sooner

I don't think people understand how much confidence it takes to walk out in outfit that you know is absolute trash and try to sell it on television that you know is going to be seen by millions of people. That's all I can think of every time I see Lala's outfit. I would have thrown up, had a panic attack, passed out and then threw up again when I came to.

The amount of people that just said "X queen was in the ball so I like it" I feel defeats the whole purpose of the voting?

Lala Ri's bag look will never leave my mind when I think about that ball

According to Raja, they weren't told the ball or runway categories ahead of time in season 3. That didn't happen until season 4. So unless they brought a look that would work, they had to make THREE looks for each ball.

22:16 it's giving Avril Lavigne kakakakawaii hello kitty you're so pretty 💀💀

Aja being thrown into the bottom for the soup can ball was 1000% to save Ben/Bebe/Shangela. I think they really wanted to have those 3 in the top 4 (which, it's kinda crazy that none of them ended up winning lmao), and the fact that Aja and Trixie did the best this week, they were guaranteed to lose one of them if they judged fairly and didn't sacrifice one of the others. I think they were banking on Aja fizzling out by this point because she'd already done her redemption storyline by grabbing a win in the first episode and also redeeming her worst runway, plus struggling a bit in episode 3 kinda clued producers in that she might not have a late run, which blew up in their face because Aja could've definitely had at least 3 top 2 placements. I just think that because they were kinda forced to have Bebe make the final 4 to justify bringing her back without tarnishing her legacy too much, and because Ben and Shangela were the worst this week, it was wraps for Aja. Because they were going to choose whoever was worse out of her and Trixie to cut this episode, except they were both clearly the best, and Trixie had more of a following than Aja did at that time, and had more value for the season in production's eyes.

47:59 this wasn’t the fairytale ball lol, the fairytale ball was on UK VS the world this was the Mother of all Balls

jujubees “my name is ping but everyone calls me amberrr” had me ROLLING the first time i watched it 😭 truly a gem in a dumpster fire of a challenge

The ooky spooky one from season 4 did indeed make those boots. It was even a minor plot point in the episode. The whole look ended up being my absolute favourite. Pity that it came from her, though.

thank you for using this video as an opportunity to put people on to the impact of ballroom culture on drag and pop culture in general
