Removing shop classes from public schools has had a profound effect on the lack of basic skills.

No wonder my insurance premiums have gone up way faster than inflation

Some of these remind me of my great grandparents house because they carpeted their whole house with free carpet squares.... no they were NOT all the same color or length! 🤣

that women with the spirit level was honestly kind of fun to watch. I dont think she even posses the mental capacity to understand how a spirit level works to the point that, no amount of explanation will ever make it click for her. bless her heart.

The first girl is a prime nominee for the Darwin Awards.

With all the painting projects and remodeling that my wife has taken on herself she's only screwed up once and it was big.

I took a Friday off from work to paint the garage and when I was done all that was left was the floor. My wife said I'm going to do the floor and I told her that's fine. I told her to go start from one of the inside walls and work her way out to the garage door she told me you don't need to tell me how to paint I know how to paint so she started at the garage door. I kept on trying to tell her to stop but she told me flat out shut up and sit there and watch how it's done. I went inside and grabbed our two boys and we folded out our chairs and sat in front of the garage door watching her paint the floor. The boys didn't know what was going to happen I just told them sit there and watch with me. She finally realized she painted herself into a corner when she realized there was no way of finishing the spot she was standing on and getting out of the garage without walking on the wet paint. I could not stop laughing and then she started blaming me even though I tried to tell her what she was doing was wrong I was wrong for telling her this and then I was wrong for not insisting that she was doing it completely wrong. So finally I told her step into the paint paint the spot you're standing in grab the roller pan load up the roller one more time and as you walk towards the garage door paint your footsteps on the way out. I did not let her forget about that for the longest time when she went into the house to clean herself up I told her to give me her shoes and I will clean them. He did not know that I went back to the garage and put her shoes on my hands and put two tennis shoe footprints into the wet paint on the floor and let it dry like that. First she was mad and then I told her this way we will always remember the day we painted our garage.

"the striking power of a exhausted toddler" 12:21 good lord

16:15 ahh the simplicity. It's scary because people like her can vote. But hey maybe that middle board got its own gravitational pull...

splitting firewood with a bottle jack is a whole new level of inefficient 😅

This was so painful to watch, but I had to stop when it came to the chainsaw, my heart was pounding from the stress.

I thought I'd try to hang some sheets of drywall in the ceiling myself. My grandfather just laughed at me. Turns out if you try to hold them in the middle they can break

i dunno. the couple who removed the tiny cupboard next to the shower revealed a very much not water proof wall and ceiling situation. while it was a stupid mistake it was kind of lucky in the end :)

The mirror lady’s problem is: construction adhesive is slowly dissolving the chemicals on the back of the mirror that makes it a mirror.  That’s why they are distorting.

13:26 According to her, if I lay on the floor with my feet against the wall, I can walk straight up to the ceiling... Edit: OMG, It totally worked!!!!

@23:25 those mini blinds for that corner cabinet was sooo goofy that i actually liked it alot. hahaha

6:51 my advice… let a professional do it.  As the saying goes “If you think a professional is expensive, try hiring an amateur”.

The 2 trying to start the chainsaw are lucky it didn't start ...

The broken mirror house will never sell

I am so glad middle school (grades 7 and 8) required Shop classes: wood working, welding, small engine repair and home maintenance. Also my dad taught me home renovation and as a kid would take me to job sites where he did part time renovations on the weekends. He also taught me critical thinking and how to plan out a job ahead of time.

I knew watching these would be hilarious... I was sooo wrong. All it did was make me angry at the lack of common sense, and the stupidity of using power tools when you have no idea how to use them. You need a warning **no appendages were lost & nobody was electrocuted to death during the making of these videos** (that we know of)😅
