One thing you might not've realized that makes Jynx even better is that because it's obtained via in-game trade, it's nature-locked to mild, and a guaranteed encounter. Extremely good, definitely better than Mr. Mime for that I'd say

Snorlax has to be the best Sabrina counter. High special bulk and shadow ball is physical. Even body slam stab is insane against her psychic types.

Should make more of these bro the algorithm is liking them

If you pick squirtle Golbat’s usefulness goes way up. He matches up well vs rivals bulb for the first 5 gyms and can deal with Erika pretty well. Sure he isn’t crobat but golbat still gets the job done early especially since squirtle can solo almost everything else. But thats just my opinion. Great list!

Jynx is actually fast! Faster than mr. mime at least! Good list

Honestly the theme of this list is psychic type being goated

From my own personal experience, Butterfree should be in A. Insane early game, surprisingly good against Koga due to its access to Psychic moves, and can deal with Agetha for the same reason. Yes there's others that can do it better, but Compound Eyes and Sleep Powder gives it solid help

This is a really helpful list, I have a streamer friend who’s been trying to get better at nuzlockes so I’ll show it to him! Also congrats on 250 subs!

Starmie doesn't have any psychic moves for Misty so poison types aren't necessarily weak to it. Technically Zubat has bite by Misty as well but it's probably still getting wrecked by water pulse.

Mr.mine is so underrated

I’m glad you gave Hypno the recognition he deserves. He’s definitely slept on on a lot of tier lists I’ve looked at. In my experience, he absolutely carried my FireRed run.

Shadow ball (which can be boosted with meditate if you want), light screen, reflect, psychic, calm mind, thunder wave, decently strong headbutt???

Hypno can be a psychic sweeper, a bulky defensive Pokémon to check psychics, a utility Pokémon, anything you want. Hypno is one of my favorite Pokémon in this gen.

Nice content! Thanks!!

1. I feel like you're sleeping on butterfree. it's amazing on blastoise/charizard runs, and even if not, that 27% extra sleep chance compared to venusaur is just soooo clutch and stays useful throughout

2. your voice is so relaxing lmfao

While I don't intend to hard critic someone who isn't on top of the exact movesets and move availability for Pokémon in FRLG (since that naturally creates problems and inconsistencies on the tier list that you can't prevent unless you thoroughly prepare yourself with the most accurate info to do such a tier list), I still think you should be careful with some... I dunno if I should call it "biased approaches" or just judgemental mistakes that can happen.

For example, you justify Arcanine's S ranking with amazing stats and Intimidate alone despite mediocre typing and really bad moveset (only Dig, Fire and Normal moves) without investment in the form of Coins to get TM Flamethrower or delaying evolution to Growlithe which is a slog and basically only allows you to use this Pokémon at lvl 50+ (since Growlithe is much weaker, and all of this just for Flamethrower and ESpeed).

Meanwhile you criticized Tentacruel for being a Water type weak to Psychic, which it is, whilst putting Seadra ahead of it, a Water type not weak do Psychic, not accounting for the massive difference in Sp. Def. stat between these two Pokémon essentially invalidates the super effective hit difference (Tentacruel is far more likely to survive Psychic than Seadra).

Perfect list in my opinion

Would love to see more of these

Sux seeing charizard low but I agree I love him but that 2nd stab flying does him too much harm

fearow at c but any fighting above him is fucking crazy

I think delaying Dugtrio until after the gym 3 also works if someone doesn’t want to totally ban it.

YES! JYNX IS IN S TIER! I used Jynx in my LG Nuzlocke and she was a godsend against Lance!
