"This has been my life for so long. I'm not sure what to do with myself now." - I felt that line...

The BIG When Day Breaks video will be coming out next weekend. Thank you everyone for sticking with me for all these years and to those of you who have been following the When Day Breaks story since I first started it. Big up Cimmerian for writing the majority of these tales for us, to all my amazing guest voices and to my wonderful patreons and channel members for their support and to all of you for keeping this series going.

Who would have thought back in November of 2018, that 1st When Day Breaks video was going to be the beginning of a story that would take another 7 years to complete. Hell, this wasn't even meant to be a full-on story. At the start, me and Cim were just making custom videos around some interesting SCPs and the When Day Breaks event but then a couple of years in, we began to toy with the idea of a story.

Me and Cim discussed A LOT of different storylines and plots over the years. There were bigger SCPs getting involved and other relationships between the characters forming and things like that at one point. There were some complications and hiccups along the way though such as the Dr Bright situation and some plot holes that come with making up a story as you go along. I regret the 049 story too, now. In hindsight, I wish I had instead pitched a tale where the doctor was trying to fix the infection and instead it gets him or something like that.

But, ultimately, I'm very happy with what we created and I hope the SCP community like it too. And if they don't, well, maybe at least they will appreciate all the SCP fans and content creators who got involved to make this project possible.

Everyone, have a lovely Christmas.

Yall took a simple SCP-001 proposal of the sun melting all life and made it into an absolute PEAK Cinema masterpiece.

It's been an honour. Finish the fight.

This whole thing is a modern day Epic. Can't believe I got to witness it, and even participate in it. Here's to the next BIG ONE that gets tackled.

That's a hell of a take on the "go quietly into that good night."

Rage... rage against the encroaching light.

"Let’s kill the sun" Never thought i'd hear that as a sentence

End of an Era. Thanks for all the effort you and Cim put into this.

It's been an honor, man. Thanks for the ride. Also, good riddance to SCP-106. That murderous asshole deserved it. 👍

At last, day has been unbroken

SCP-001 "When Day Breaks":The Best Ending

It was an honor, this ride has come to an end after a long journey.

"they will not go quietly into your light"
Sun: "Then they will go screaming."

lowkey metal af

I always thought that WDB felt weird as a 001. Seeing as most 001s in some way are meant to be an origin of the foundation.

HOWEVER, The ending of this with reality being reset and the sun now no longer being sentient (a pretty fundamental change to reality if you ask me) makes sense to be 001 in the foundation's database, as it is in a way the origin for the new reality.

SCP 001 "Daybreak"
Object Class: Apollyon/Neutralised

"I...will be...among you........sooon."  Scarlet King

We got to then end of When Day Breaks before GTA VI.

Great job to you and your team, Mr. ILLUSTRATED. It been an honor to ride this out with you

53:46 hey that's nice of him

Y'know, I'll admit that, with some of the entries in this series, I was worried that this was on a fast track to becoming.. what I can only describe as MCU-ified SCP. Very glad it defied those expectations, and ended on such a high note - this was among the most compelling fiction I've watched, SCP or otherwise.

It's over...

It's finally over...

Still ashamed we didn't get to see 999's part in this.

And so the story comes to an end, the book closes, and it lies now in the Library, History to be remembered. It's been one hell of a ride, but one that I'm happy to have been here for.
And as for the woman's concerns of the Scarlet King, well... that's a story for another time.

I never expected a happy ending. That was the biggest surprise of all.

Thank you for creating and developing one of the best SCP stories out there and for giving it a conclusion. Loved every minute of it.

It's all over. Can't wait to see what's next. Take as much time as you need.
