Defnitely useful as a history lesson and entertainment.  But, the Next Decade of Software Development can be summed up this way: I don't know, but let me distract you with 57 minutes of what's gone on before (most of which you already know) before I tell you that I don't know.  😆

“It could tell me your name when I’m looking at you or schedule a time for lunch”

Bro just talk to people what are you doing?

Nope. AI has nothing to do with the current situation in video games.
It didn't take long since the advent of AI and voiced responses to have games that used voiced LLM output be part of games. Those games were not that good. They didn not survive much.
A big part of why games are in a trof right now is that during pandemic a lot of games were greenlit, ppl had disposable income and attempted to get into making games which lead to an increase in game studios. Problem is that it's a market with a finite number of customers and agaiin the main problem of the games not being very good.

Western video games and movies have the exact same problem. They cost too much to make and are not particularly good. There's nothing wrong with investing more money into a project to make it more expansive or more detailed, but you have to make sure the piece of media you're creating is worth that investment. Most of the time it is not and frankly the few times when marketing or good timing manages to swindle the customers out of their money just muddies the waters, creating a situation where low quality media succeeds which screws with the decision making process.

I have no idea what imagined link there can be between the Haber-Bosch process and the Ottoman Empire.
If the name didn't give it away it was made by German ppl and the process was finalized well before ww1 started.

👏👏👏👏

@44:00 Hyper reality was based on this concept. Chilling. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJg02ivYzSs

Quite surprised at the low comment level. I found this very useful.

40:03 So with LLMs, we could convert the horrible Windows mouse slider drag losing focus to a Mac slider, holding steady?

48:15 ah but with quantum problems some organisations have enough storage to save your non-quantum encrypted systems data you are communicating with today so it can be decrypted in the future, SO IT IS A PROBLEM TODAY AND YOU SHOULD WORRY ABOUT IT

If you watched this 2 years ago, you’d potentially think this is good. What a waste of time.

And another example where his anti-Trump cannot contained.

Such a horrible inflection.

Sorry to say, but Rich is a waste of time.
