Good advice about not buying overpriced individual coins, when you could have all 8 definitives for around £40. And don't forget that technically all those 2023 BU coins are NIFCs due to the privy mark.

6 months ago I got a 2025 £1 as a gift from a friend dealer here in Buenos Aires, Argentina. That is the only King Charles III coin I have personally seen and I have it in my collection.

So looking forward to finding more than just the £1 bees. You are spot on regarding circulating the collectables in very limited numbers, it would float my boat much more than this is purely a collectable that you have to pay 400x premium for. If the Freddie Mercury had 100k in circulation, I'd have bought the collectables and overpaid for the circulating version on the secondary market!!

It seems a bit strange that there hasn't been a demand for new £2 coins for years, because when I was in London this summer, both cashiers and machines often gave me two £1 coins instead of one £2 coin for change. I hardly saw a £2 at all, so no commemoratives for me (except the lovely £2 I bought at London Zoo), but 4 shiny 2025 bee £1 coins was a nice consolation prize.
Strange to see both the squirrel and the capercaillie on new coins. Here in Norway both were used on the 1-øre and 2-øre from 1958 to 1972.
