This is already on YouTube, but is all in bits and pieces, thought it might be an easier watch if it was uploaded in one chunk.

only Ted talk the world really needs.

I took a lesson from Ted in the early 80s. He lived in Studio City with his mom. He gave me enough info in half an hour to keep me busy for six months.

He's like the Bob Ross of guitar playing.

I've never heard a Telecaster sound this good.

29:15 when he starts with "Autumn Leaves" in F# minor and then gets into a Bach thing at 31:11 that is Pure Magic and ends in D major. Then he explains how his fingers have a mind of their own. Priceless.

I've been looking for this for a while after losing it. Yet again, here we are. RIP Ted Greene.

There are players, and then there are players!

Why is he so mesmerizing? Also shy, maybe, and truly humble. This is so interesting, and I am feeling relieved of some of the burden of approaching music from a too-academic vantage point. He is great.

How could 15 people not like this video? Ted was among the top 5 players that have ever walked on this planet.

I revisit this every few months and always come away with some gold to keep me motivated.

These are the only tutorials that bring tears to my eyes. What a gift he was to us.

Feels like I've been to church.

This guy makes the notes come alive, like every chord and interval is a character in a story that he's telling..."the C# wants to get in out of the cold"...what a great teacher.

I didn't want this to end.

@sclogse1 12 years ago

Wanted him to stay with the Oliver Nelson voicings a bit longer....

Erwin Win - in the second half, he focuses on proper fingering for "Smoke on the Water" and "Stairway to Heaven," then plays a fingerstyle version of "Hey, Hey, We're the Monkees" in the styles of Bach, Monk, Sorabji, Penderecki, and John Prine.

It seems a lot of folks are complaining that this video's too long and boring. I find it quite the opposite. It's intriguing introspective, full of useful information, and I wish we could get to see the part after the break!
