Thanks for all the love y'all. I just dropped my "Follow The Leader" reaction if you want to watch it and show it some love so we can continue down the Rakim rabbit hole💪

This was light work for Rakim. This was him going easy.

Young brother, we call him The God for a reason. ✊

One of Rakim's verses is better than other rappers' whole albums.

Rakim took rap from the flat-footed patterns of the 80s, to the complex rhyme schemes that would redefine the genre. He is the greatest of all time.

Rakim paid in full from 87 is classic 😮😮😮😮😊

@smittybenzo4693 2 months ago

Rakim changed the game from the RUN DMC singular ending word rhyme to the modern style internal rhyme scheme that Nas, Eminem and Kendrick and Cole still use today. He introduced it in 1986.

He's still no joke

@terenceguerrero2834 3 weeks ago

He Ain't No Joke, and that's why he's Paid In Full and never had to Sweat the Technique

Rakim is so lyrically complex that even trying to read his rhymes ain’t easy but the God flows easy AF!!

Now imagine, I was listening to his tapes in 1989 while delivering newspapers on the block. I got tears in my eyes watching someone from the younger generation discover the mc greatness that is the R.
