Transforming my spare room into a cosy dark academia reading nook, tiny home library, guest bedroom, filming studio and dressing room 🌿📚
In this dark academia room makeover, I’m creating one multifunctional space that can be everything I need it to be - from a cosy reading room filled with books and botanical decor to a guest bedroom, dressing room and home studio.
I’m replacing the old guest bed with a versatile bench and fold-out bed, creating a tiny library amongst the wardrobes, upcycling & thrifting furniture and adding vintage-inspired decor, plants, warm lighting and autumn styling to create a cosy botanical dark academia interior.
I also wanted to take you behind the scenes of how I use this room for my work, including how it transforms into a filming and photography studio, and where I filmed my recent autumn outfits video.
If you love dark academia decor, cosy reading nooks, home libraries, thrifted room makeovers, vintage interiors and cosy autumn decorating, I hope this gives you plenty of ideas for creating your own little escape at home. 🖤
