I will sell you your own car if I have to

I cannot believe we pulled this, thank you Criken and Jerma for having us

“This ain’t a fucking useless window chat it’s called WHIMSY” took me out so hard I nearly choked on my drink. You and Criken work so well together

Important context for the Joel/PC/Doug round- Joel was by himself so for fun they both built their own things, and forced the other team to present it without seeing it.

I love how RT's strategy went from being the one liar in a group of people telling the truth to being the one honest person in a group of liars

I think some people in this concept understood 'dream' as 'fever dream'

So glad that Jerma didn't notice the bathroom did NOT have a door

You know. . .

I really love how Rt and Criken chose to make a cute, simple, and cozy Hobbit hole in Hobbiton. . .

While their neighbours decided to make the most unhinged, crackheaded, devilspawned house that i've ever seen

Criken and RT honestly cooked so well together, playing off RT’s strength with speed and efficiency to quickly put down a good looking house structure and fill out space in a way that looks pleasing, while Criken did a great job with the garden organics, decorations, and details. I remember the whiplash I got going from RT’s stream where he was frantically trying to figure out how to shrink a door while Criken was rotating and placing down a nice pile of books in quiet stress.

Stark and Stu’s house was honestly incredibly impressive. Not only did they make the most realistic looking house, they also had time to build three whole underground gag jokes.

I love how both Criken and RT, who made a Barbie themed home in the last house flipper tournament (PURELY BY ACCIDENT and under different circumstances) are now on the same team together for this one.

I really fell for the idea that there would be 1 normal home. Like I thought that was so nice. I’m usually big hater of gray bland houses, but I was like “in a round of insanity, normality and boringness have become the most captivating thing”

And then the bookcase opened

RT just understands Jerma's psychology when it comes to these routines. He's not looking for the funny jank or cursed builds (at least officially for the win). Both approaches landed with RT going into wholesome story that expressed respect for the task at hand (whether real or not) and funneled it into a wholesome shared cultural experience.

The hack from the first House Flipper tournie wasn't the gaslighting per say, it was gas lighting to something to which Jerma could go "aww" not "eww."

Oh my god RT got so lucky here. They immediately knocked out their biggest threat in terms of build quality because their opponent threw at the end and built a joke basement instead of touching up their landscaping.

Not that it was a bad strategy, but being judged last after a series of absurd homes was the perfect setup to make "taking it completely seriously" both extremely impressive and funny.

The consistency between all of RT's attempts at this, that works out, is...consistency. Barbie house? That thing is a FULL Barbie house, no pivots. Hobbit hole? We're getting a ring by the fireplace and the sides covered by hills. That's what works, in the end.

Its the “WE WERENT SUPPOSED TO BE DOING THIS, I SHOULD BE ON A FARM, PUSHING DIRT AROUND” Guy and the “They used to call me the DRIFT KING back in college you know?” guy

Sark and Stu’s house was actually great and it’s kind of funny how the two houses that were way better than literally everyone else went up against each other

@Primalaspid-jd7yt 1 year ago

He can’t keep getting away with this

I'm actually very impressed with TheMrSark and StuStutters. They made a very impressive house at first, and then they added even MORE. Shame all that extra stuff actually knocked them out of the running for Dream Home. If not for that they might have been able to beat the Constantly Crouch house.
