Cube meta is new meta, change my mind.
(Although I think that by the time this video goes up, Cube #3 & 4 could possibly have already fallen)

The attempt to blow up the artillery emplacement just shows how special forces have to be just the right mix between genius and batshit crazy.

people relearning Napoleonic square formations

Something important to remember about a base. A base is never an ultimate defence, rather it only slows down the enemy until qrf arrives. In a way, the cubes popularity made it a magnet for friendly qrf because cube

Imagine FINALLY after throwing an insane amount of resources at the first cube to break it to then have to see another fucking cube lmao.

I feel like the base kept attracting attention because each Colonial who saw it was like "Easy target, 15 minutes tops." And honestly, what you said is true: it doesn't matter how you build it, what matters is who shows up to defend it. So many 'meta' designs get destroyed simply because people cannot be asked to navigate the maze created by schizo builders.

"Buddy, I'm a CAFineer. I solve practical problems. Like how to hold the line or how to build in-depth defensive networks. If you got a problem, use a CUBE. And if that don't work... use more CUBE"

I love how through games like foxhole, we are essentially relearning how medieval castle design worked

"I just got hit in the face by a 250." Every shell you absorb is one less at something more expensive.- [Krieg Field Manual.]

I lost my mind when I found out we had to assault the second "CUBE".
The first one was nonsense haha!

Meanwhile at Colonial High Command:
“General, our latest assessments of the frontline. If the Cube Model of bunker base becomes standard design for Warden fortifications, we will lose our continental advantage in every future campaign.

“Then we will have to attack these Cubes from the air!”

the cubes just being numbered fortresses is just the cherry on top for me for some reason
IDK why it's so funny but it gives the same like 'mass-fabricated' energy and makes me think of Albania's insane 'fortification' scheme where they put pillboxes on literally every square inch of the country

Honestly watching this video despite the non-meta design of the Cube and the fact that it did eventually get vaporized, I gotta say the fact that it needed to be completely vaporized that way for the collies to get around it says a lot about how well defended it ended up being, even if only as a meme

Im glad that there is at least one clan that goes against the grains against the bunker meta.

Holding the frontline,
my Malone's barrel warping
All hail, mighty cube

This reminds me of an ARMA 3 lobby where my squad was ordered to hold some random hut in the jungle against the AI. The squad started off trying to take up positions in and around the hut, but eventually we all wound up in a decent sized pit behind the hut.

We started chanting "The Pit Provides" and I swear if you were in it? Nothing could hit you. But even trying to crawl out of the pit prone? Bam, shot instantly. As the medic I'd drag people back into the pit with a knowing "The Pit Provides".

Foxhole is literally an Interwar period between after ww1 and before ww2 had began.

Interwar history is one of the most underrated of all time.

Fun fact around after 75 or lil later CAF built a massive wall called CAF Wall, was former 2nd command in engineering. CAF does have their moments of meta builds.
